There's a similar problem discussed on Redit(extract below). https://www.reddit.com/r/CoinBase/comments/5ihzbu/bank_account_verification_problem/
There are also a few youtube videos detailing a solution. PM me for a link if you're still stuck.

Rosie from Coinbase here.

From the error message you received, it sounds like you have only verified your bank account for wire withdrawals and deposits, but not for ACH withdrawal and deposits.

If this is indeed the case, you can verify your bank account https://www.coinbase.com/payment_methods by selecting "Add Payment Method."

If you have already completed this process and are still receiving this message, please reach out to us at [email protected] for further assistance. Thank you!

Buying cryptos with credit card and bank account sucks. A lot of verification and fees.

So how do we buy them when the banks and stock brokerages have my funds?  I'm listening.

You can transfer fund to a person (and their bank account) with Localbitcoins - and they give you the BTC (out of escrow).  Rates a little bit less competitive but paying for convenience.

I went through the screens to enter my banks routing number and then entered my account number.   The banks name now shows up but is in a not verified state.   When I click, verify, that's when I get the message "To verify this wire information, please verify a bank account or sepa account with the same account number, or send an incoming wire from that bank account."  Could it be pending?Huh If so, it would be nice if some status showed that.

Usually when I do this deposits are sent to my account,  I verify the amounts by entering them and when they match, the amounts are then removed.   This time nothing like that.   No on-line support only some BS support bot,  dig around find a email address and send a messgage but, the pick out a few words and send a canned reply.

One thing is certain in all this, it's all software, no people and ALL software has bugs, and sooner or later we hit them and with no real people to diagnose an issue, it can take who knows how long to get anything resolved.  It's not giving me a very good feeling about putting 100,000 dollars into bit coin.

I'm not Coinbase support, so I'm just guessing here. I believe that you are trying to set up the ability to send/receive money via bank wire, and they are telling you that you first need to set up the ability to send/receive via bank transfer (aka ACH or SEPA) with that account first.

Trying to get a coinbase account set up with my bank account.  I entered by routing number and account numbers etc but then I get this message.

"To verify this wire information, please verify a bank account or sepa account with the same account number, or send an incoming wire from that bank account."

I have no idea what this means.   I have set up bank accounts for wire transfer with many brokerages and never seen this one.  Can anyone give me a hint at my next step.

My credit card account is also not working yet and I don't want to pay the cc fees anyway.
