This is interesting but then I do not think Banks would ever agree to have a decentralized ledger for all their transaction. If they do, this would defeat the purpose of having banks. I think they are creating this coin to circulate more from token perspective than the utilizing blockchain as a whole. After all they are scared of Crypto and its development Smiley

This is very interesting. Could be the money of the future with governments behind it. I would buy into it if I had the chance.

Banks unite to create their own crypto currency. It's a good news. At least, they are not trying to fight with her and saw the futility of this war. Banks try to take advantage of this situation and even join the process of creating new coins. The coin created by them seems to have a good demand and price, as the reputation of banks is high and numerous of their customers will want to use a digital coin that is supported by banks.

This just proves that the banks will not fight with the crypto currency. Commercial banks are organizations for profit, so they will look in this situation to win financially, since they can no longer stop the spread of the crypto currency. The fact that the banks are united to create their own digital coins, in general, very positive news. Such a coin will have good support and high cost.

Stumbled upon this article a few days ago, basically major bank corporations are teaming up to create their own Cryptocurrency which will be used for "Clearing and settling transactions over blockchain".

What are your thoughts regarding this topic? It does sound promising and worth to invest but doesn't it defeat the point of cryptocurrencies a little?

It sounds interesting in my part knowing that we already know that cryptocurrencies became more and more popular in these days.
We already know that sometimes some big companies will unite as one to make their profit. If they are going to team up then it is very interesting to watch the future of their digital currency.
If we will be given the chance to invest and in seems very promising then I will give a shot in investing to their future plans. Smiley

The news was highly circulated but I don't think bank would start a totally decentralized token as it would violate the principle of banking. They can just be tokens for intra and interbanking fees.
