Im so mad with these moderators. They do not know which account to ban. Im on a 7 days ban but its been 12 days and my account is still in temporary ban. This is my account https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/ryap12-1190389.
And the notice I have is,

"Sorry ryap12, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
Reason: Participating in an on-forum altcoin giveaway (see https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/incentivizing-posting-via-low-effort-tasks-likes-follows-etc-is-not-allowed-3953664). Ban duration: 7 days"

I always check where and when I post but still got a ban. the moderator who banned me is a d*ckhead. I will no longer stay in this biased forum.

Man, I don't care about getting unbanned. I'm just givin gmy opinion about your rules. And you don't even listen. Not to me (newbie's are considered as shit in this forum) neither to higher members that agree about the problem that some threads are misleading for new users and that it's not correct that you gte banned without even a warn.
Thank you for your kind answers

It's not up to you to decide. You broke the rules and got banned for this. End of the story.

We are very welcoming to new members that TRULY want to learn and discuss cryptocurrencies. The big difference is that you are just another SPAMMER who just wants to milk the forum with bounties, while shitposting all day. And we don't want those type of users here.

So, please... Can you just stop crying and move on? You will not get unbanned.

sorry but i don't agree.
it's like saying that:
- if I go in a shop and steal is me vs. shop
- if someone steal from in into the shop is me vs.thief

But how likely would you continue to go in a store where you know thieves are not prosecuted?

Who makes the rules? Admins.
So admins are judges, since they ban new users without even warning them. I'm just saying that banning an account of a new user can't be worst than a scammer trying to steal from your users.
It depends on how the forum basis and rules are made. and in this forum it seems to me that nobody wants new user, also to learn how to behave on this forum, because elder members just want to keep their bigger slice of the cake. Lucky you that are Hero or Legendary, nobody will ever touch you in this forum.

What's the logic behind this? to not have the forum full of unsense comments but ok if full of scam?
spamming is against forum rules. you spammed, you vs forum
scams are not moderated. you were scammed, you vs scammer
it's not admins' job to be a judge on your case, you should protect yourself... caveat emptor

And then you find people buying and selling accounts. Stealing and seling accounts.
Scams are not moderated. So this isn't against the rules.

Meanwhile, spamming (mainly to join a bounty/giveaway/earn extra stakes) is against the rules. And you can get banned for this.

Thanks for explanation. Hope you agree this behavior is not that fair.
Scammers ok, people who just want to partecipate to an airdrop that asks them to post on their thread no, banned.

I don't believe people should be permabanned for this either, but I also know it's incredibly annoying to have to deal with literally thousands of people doing this every day and there are stickies in that alt coin board warning you not to do this and people should take heed of them more than anything. The threads are usually trashed that require these sorts of posts and accounts that create such threads are seemingly being temp banned by mprep as they should be, but for individual cases like this all I can do is advise contacting mprep (if in fact it was him issuing the bans).

Well why the ones that make this threads are temp banned while the individual persons that join (also as a newbie or jr.member, so with not so much experience of the forum) get permabanned without wanr immediatly.
Not so fair.
I'll write to mpep but I already know the answer. You did shitty post so we ban you.
Furthermore getting merit by now is almost impossible for new users. It seems like a monarchy to me lol.
I'll suggest him to put more attention when new airdrops and bounty threads get published for preventing a massive ban attack.
Bye

Thanks  hilariousandco and all of you for your answers.
Nobody said that I didn't do anything. I was just asking why you don't get a warn before ban, if I remember is also written in the rules that you should get a warn before get banned.
In my opinion if I'm a newbie is impossible to know that is forbidden posting proof of authentication or other things related to airdrops since some threads exists only for that reason.
Furthermore there are always thousands of other posts on this threads and since you're a newbie how could you know that you shouldn't join??
Anyway thanks again for your answers
I'm not going to write to a moderator for an account of 2 months old that have got nearly 60 posts, it's time lost for nothing. Because you gte banned by posting on airdrops threads because this airdrops require you to do it.
Well maybe it's better if at first, before becoming public, that all the threads (and the airdrops and bounty one above all) should be inspected by a moderator. Not that you ban all the new users that in good faith follow a wrong indication.

Seems to me like that the elder users want to mantain their privileges above new users, like a power game.

Bye everyone
And be careful when somone asks you to post a proof or to comment on their thread... It could be a trap!

I don't know if users are perma banned for breaking this rule but I wouldn't be surprised and agree with. Rules are not very strict (at least not enough in my opinion). Anyone with common sense and a decent behavior is safe from losing his account

I have the same problem. I think my ban was because of IP issues, we cannot access the forum from Turkish IP’s therefore i used VPN several times... I would be so happy if you check the situation... still banned.

Only a brand new account being registered on a bad IP would be effected by this. Is that what happened?

I'm not sure what you were banned for but it's permanent. Do you have a screenshot of the ban?
Is it normal to permanently ban someone for low quality posts on the first ban?

No, it normally isn't, unless all the posts are extremely spammy or off topic etc. What probably happened is he was given the first ban then they or someone else spotted something like plagiarism and permabanned him. The vast majority of his posts just seem to be 'thanks for the airdrop' type ones, many of which are in threads that have been trashed. I would contact mprep for further clarification as he was possibly the one who issues the ban (both temp and permanent).

I also experienced it. this is the link profile my account is banned My account, there written 7 days. however, until now my account has not returned as well. I admit that I have made a low quality post and I forgot to include the source link in my post. is that a big mistake ??

I would lift the ban if it is only for low quality posts and he has no other accounts with a history of bans.
Sure... so, did you just registered this account to post this? Or are you OP and think we are dumb enough to think you are a different user randomly suggesting a unban for yourself? Cheesy
No, I made that post because that is my opinion. I am not the OP and I have no conflicts.
that could be true, but it's kind of strange that the first post of a 'real' newbie is about ban discussion
regular people wouldn't worry about ban when they joined the forum in the first place
unless of course he has other intentions Roll Eyes than getting information and discussing bitcoin related stuff

Is it normal to permanently ban someone for low quality posts on the first ban?
I think it's possible if that's all you do. I've seen multiple users these past few weeks that got permanent banned and the only possible (or at least evident) reason was that they were spamming (mainly in bounty threads) and/or writing in a thread to earn a bonus (which is against the rules and will get you perma banned).
In the case of the OP, he made a bunch of crappy posts and was banned before he received any kind of warning, according to him. I understand that most rule breakers will receive multiple warnings about their behavior before they are removed from the community.

I obviously don’t know if the OP is telling the truth but if he is he should be able to improve his quality, like is the case for others in his situation previously.
the problem is all his crappy posts categorized as spam posts
he made those posts just to increase his post counts and activities
others that wasn't banned most likely made crappy post content but not regarded as spam
if a newbie continuously makes useless posts, mods would label him as a spammer and ban him

No, I made that post because that is my opinion. I am not the OP and I have no conflicts.

I don’t think you know when users are banned permanently because this is not public information although perhaps you get a hint when all the profile information is wiped. Keep in mind you don’t know the background of those users, you don’t know if they are one person using 10 accounts to systematically break the rules, if they have a history of breaking the rules including getting banned for doing so, if they were previously banned for other reasons and just got caught for ban evasion. All of these scenarios would warrant a more harsh penalty because they show a disregard for the rules. They also imply knowledge that they know what they are doing is against the rules.

This seems heavy handed to me and it might exclude some people that we might not want to exclude.

As far as I know, this forum doesn't ban people based on their IP, unless it's a spammer using many accounts.
Posting in this thread, right after I reminded the OP ban evasion is against the rules, is not smart.

Great idea.

Thanks for the information anyway. I hoped that the ban was only for 7 days.....
As far as I know, this happens if you get a permanent ban during your temporary ban.

Great project. This will be an ideal crypto to use for everyday trades and transfers.
I will invest for sure in this company.

But you don't need to read rules to know plagiarism is illegal in most countries.
