I agree with grue's reply. However, You could also check for gaps in user post history of roughly 3,7,14,30,60 days (the same duration of bans).

To check an user post history, https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/tarsua-387574, replace your uid (the number after u=) with the one of the user account you're checking.

if they were banned recently, it might appear in https://bitcointalk.org/modlog.php, but otherwise you'll need to contact an administrator.
