But I guess this shouldn't be a problem if the mixer uses services like these.

In the image you posted above there is also WW listed (besides CM). I understand, you added CM for the lulz, but WW should really not be present in your image, so maybe you can edit it? First of all, their operation is completely shut down, after both websites are not functional anymore. Second of all, even if the websites were still working, I would still not think they are a good example to be listed, considering their sudden disappearance from the forum, without any explanation.
You are absolutely right about WW. But let me note that icopress is not the author of the image and cannot edit the original post.

Correct me if I am wrong.

I'm not very technical, but about six months ago I read an article about how scammers spoof the DNS cache to intercept Internet traffic... although having delved into the details, I still have a hard time understanding how a hacker can replace a site's DNS data and then redirect the victim to own server instead of a legitimate server. But I guess this shouldn't be a problem if the mixer uses services like these.

You are right about domains like ".beauty" but also don't forget that scammers also like to use character substitution and similarity in the pronunciation of the keyword. Usually, when a new player appears in a niche, scammers quickly react and purchase similar domains, so in this case one of the effective methods is preventive action (that is, the mixer owners should be the first to buy as many similar domain names).

Despite that, there is no guarantee that there will be no phishing and fake sites. Scammers can be very creative, with such a large number of custom domain extensions, they almost have an unlimited number of possibilities.
After a short check, I found several similar domains by "mlxy" term, it is not possible to cover all options.

A clearnet domain with only 4 letters is quite expensive. On Namecheap, mixy.net is available for $10k and mixy.io is $6k. There are cheaper options but I doubt anybody would fall for a fake mixer with a .beauty or .monster domain name.

It doesn't prevent phishing attacks, though. Popular bitcoin mixers have had scammers go after cloning their onion links as well. Just check this thread and you will see a number of reported copycat onion links

It's funny, but I don't see a single phishing site similar to Mixy. I guess this is not very good news (in the sense that it just means that Mixy does not seem to be very popular among mixers, so it is probably not profitable for scammers to engage in phishing).  Although maybe I'm wrong. Smiley

Bad people who want to run phishing sites don't make considerable inputs for their phishing efforts. Copying a website UI, making a domain or even creating a customized Onion domain are not big inputs from them.

It is not true to say they will get profit or no profit. Very limited inputs for phishing and some victims are enough to make they are profitable. I guess they don't spend more than a few hundred of dollar for phishing inputs.

For the brand.
For phishing attacking prevention.

It is better for the brand and it gives some level of prevention against phishing attack on the domain name. Because scammers must have skills to create a vanity onion address.

For the brand.
Usually, the user prioritizes keeping the clearnet browser rather than the onion link. [banned mixer] has a clearnet browser that clearly shows the brand which I think is not necessary to make a new brand for tor link. so if anyone wants to use it just go through to main site and click that onion link.

It's as easy as googling for 30 seconds and starting the brute force search. It's not going to help against phishing, if anything it gives a false sense of security.
I did not know it is very easy like this but I see many mixing services created their customized Tor domain names.

With your explanation, I now think those customized Tor domain names are for branding only.

A scammer looking to impersonate [banned mixer] could just as easily generate a vanity onion address with a similar prefix for their own domain. While it might look cool it doesn't do anything to prevent users from falling for a phishing scam. The best way to protect yourself would be to bookmark the official onion URL and only access the site from there.

Do you think of making a custom Tor domain for [banned mixer]?

Tor links like mixymoneyxxxxxxxxx will be cool as a brand Tor domain for [banned mixer] mixer.

It helps your users have more convenience to recognize the Tor domain of Mixy Money. It also help them to have a good support to avoid phishing links.

Yes, that's right, apart from that, using Cloudflare also means your traffic will be recorded by them.
Therefore, it is better to use the onion link that is provided on the thread. So when we use this, it's not so naked when we use the Clearnet link. When we use TOR there is 3 and more relay that hide our server, Maybe it can still be traced, but sure it takes time and may be better than using the Clearnet browser.

Does web mixy not use ddos protection like cloudflaire? I see most mixer sites use it for added protection
True, but in reality, if someone wants to seriously attack you, it can be difficult for you to run your business even if you have Cloudflare protection.

Yes, that's right, apart from that, using Cloudflare also means your traffic will be recorded by them. Even so, using ddos protection will save your technical team a lot of hassle. But no matter whether you use it or not, I'm sure you know what's best for your business

It's just a letter in note (.txt) format, If they can't send it to the bot you can send it manually where that was downloaded folder. On file note is already a PGP sign message which you can copy it and paste to another notepad. Just make sure the address is correct, and if you have a problem in the future, you can prove that letter to the support team so they believe it's you.

I believe it was meant that once the mixing process is complete, your coins can no longer be associated with you or your transactions within your initial bitcoin address. And the fact that the coins arrived at your final bitcoin address from the exchange confirms the purity of your coins (because it excludes any connection with any possible dubious transactions). Most likely, this has been repeatedly tested ... and you can easily transfer mixed coins to the exchange, pay, etc. (without worrying that the service you use will mark your transactions as dubious).

Of course, this is my subjective opinion as a person who is not as technically savvy as you, but has repeatedly used the services of mixers.

Farewell, Leo. You will be missed!
I am curious about how you can possibly know that after using your mixer, all exchanges and centralized services that work with different chain analysis companies wouldn't classify the coins as "dirty", "tainted", etc.? These entities don't reveal their algorithms or what needs to happen for something to be "clean" or "dirty" (according to their definitions). Can you tell us more about this, and how have you tested the theory? Have you "purified" your coins and then sent them to various CEXs without any issues?

In the end, real privacy is worth much more than 3-5%.
Yes, I understand that and don't have a problem in my side. Your service creates the recommended privacy by making 3-5% fee by default.
but there is also that member who doesn't need that, I once asked my friend, and answered just wants to mix, and doesn't care about privacy  Grin. Because I see they are often to use mixer when the website can set the fee, can set a time (not 3 hours), and doesn't have minimal like 0.003.

it's just my suggestion, I don't have a problem with [banned mixer] where I tried and success mixed my btc before.

Yes I know, but this mixer is still new and not many people know yet, So it's hard to give the interesting thing to the people if nothing makes them come. And, as far as I know, one way to get people interested to come is to make it low fee than others, or if possible make it free with limited time, which aims to make people believe this mixer. So if a lot, maybe it can be increased by a few which equates with other mixers.
Thank you for your opinion. In fact, our real profit is significantly different from the amount you mentioned, since a certain% settles in the pockets of exchanges. If you look at other mixers you probably all have similar fees without exception. In the end, real privacy is worth much more than 3-5%.

I would like if [banned mixer] is more familiar with another mixer by having a feature edit fee or costume. I know Mixy Money uses a charge fee of 3 to 5 percent of the amount + 0.0007 BTC.  but for me, it's enough expensive when I want to try your mixer.
Competition will most likely play an important role here, and it is clear to everyone that competition in the mixing industry is more than serious. Especially after the closure of CM. If they are still attractive in spite of everything, they probably see no reason to reduce earnings and lower fees.

Maybe better to OP to make it happen my suggestion, and about language, I repeat it again to make it English by default, because 1st I open and try mixing, I bit kinda confused about where I have to put the address sent.

Once you change the language of the site, in subsequent sessions the cookies will do their work and your preferred choice of language will be opened every time. But certainly turning to a more globally acceptable language as the default is a better choice, plus many are not familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet.

I've never heard that bitcoin can be frozen, because bitcoin is different from the stablecoin which can be frozen from a smart contract.

Yeah bitcoin can be frozen in centralized exchange.

Better to say bitcoin can be stolen from you by centralized exchanges if you trade there.  Cheesy

UTXOs can't be really frozen. Some wallets do have the option to "froze" them, but it just means those UTXOs will not be included into transactions until you unfroze them. This is in fact very useful feature which comes in  handy  when your wallet has been under  the  "dust" attack.

And, I have been listen also if some people do it on purpose, translating to another language to hide their real identity.

I always use  a multi-hop VPN  to go online. But I wanted to check how the Tor version of Mixy works. I'll answer straight away. Everything went smoothly for me
I use VPN on clearnet also, and get bit choked up at the 1st time, but running smoothly after I change the IP country on setting.

Russians have contributed a lot in the mixer industry, I don't know what the foundation is why it happens.
It seems that indeed in Russia gets a very high crypto request, many issues that I heard that the Russian pro government will be crypto, but even so crypto in Russia cannot be used for payment tools.
If the site has a Russian-language interface, this does not mean at all that the mixer comes from Russia.

About 250 million people speak Russian.  Tongue
Yes, basically the interface language cannot state that a site comes from the origin of that language, but I also see the services provided by [banned mixer] in the telegram bot channel using Russian language, that makes me say that sir..

The bot uses the Russian language, but probably because Russian users love telegram. I have no versions why there is no language choice in the bot.

Thank you for fixing it, it completed the confusion that was previously questioned and discussed, because if it was not resolved it confuted people.

Maybe you should as soon as possible to change the default language, thank you for working hard.

how did the process happen? where was the mixed coin sent from the exchange?

Did you have some Bitcoin deposits on specific exchanges?

The coins you want to clear go to our props. Within hours, they are mixed by repeatedly sending them to thousands of different addresses. After that, the money is sent to the exchanges for the final break in the chain of ties. After 3-6 hours, you will receive back absolutely clean coins that cannot be associated with the coins you sent earlier. We guarantee that all AML tests are passed and that the coins received are completely unassociated with you.
just clarifying the highlighted part, so after it has been passed around through different addresses, the last phase of mixing("final break") is sending them repeatedly to different exchange sites?

What is new in this service or the mechanism of work, in the sense of how the mixing process takes place, and how strong is the mixing?

Why did you mention the 3-hour period, is it the least, and how do you guarantee money laundering regulations, as it cannot be guaranteed unless your currencies come from mining farms or central financial services, and here it is easy to track.
How does the user ensure that his data will not be recorded?

Mixy Money, Obviously, two things that you have to correct on the site, that is setting EN language as default and updating the link to the new Bitcointalk ANN thread. Or these remarks will be repeated in every next post. icopress, (I believe you have notifications), maybe you can influence that when you contact the Mixy Money team.

But they (the company) would have contacted the first account user to give them the login details instead of creating double jeopardy for the same purpose. Now that the former thread can't be locked and can't be use, what do you think will happen to the two account?

You certainly reject the possibility that they tried everything to gain access to the old account. Why is it so hard to accept?
Why is it even important now what will happen with those two accounts? Are you worried that they overloaded the server?
First of all thank you very much for understanding my side of the comments, I have said that also for them to change it. And I have not rejected what you told me earlier about accessing the old account, I accepted all you said, but I was also making some contribution for the development of the website and the company but icopress misunderstood me and judged me from his anger. Yes I am not from English speaking country, but I can communicate with someone with English for the person's understanding, though in the process of communicating I would make mistakes. Since when I came, I have not engaged user for a long discussion like I am doing with you. Because I take you and someone who understands me.
I never say anything bad about Mixy Money, I was only saying what they should do and also trying to know why And I don't know that had offended someone. Sorry for that if I have done that. I was only trying to create a conversational scene because that is the most interesting part in the forum. Forum without discussion is boring.

Welcome back, using a funny icon, it makes your mixer more interesting and hopefully your campaign runs successfully.
To take your mixer wage as 3%-5%, means this cost varies, is there a certain category/amount BTC of how someone who uses your mixer service can find out how much they have to spend?

I just visit your site and maybe better to English it by default.
About the use of language, I agree that using English as a default, especially to carry out marketing globally, unless targeted only for local users with the same language, although I can take translation options on my machine, but use local language for global services I think it is less ethical.

So I came across here because just read if you mixing coins from the exchange, What specific exchange did you mean?

I don't see the usual service, After I provide a bitcoin address, the website directly goes to the sent address without setting how much fee and anonymity like another mixer. So how can I set the time to receive the mixed coin, like 1, 2, 3 ... hours?

So far so good, I don't have a problem when exploring the whole.

Agbe, They haven't access to @mixymoney forum account, OP of old thread. So because of that they open a new account and create a new ANN thread. Without access to @mixymoney forum account, also is not possible to lock this old thread.  Wink
That is alright. But they (the company) would have contacted the first account user to give them the login details instead of creating double jeopardy for the same purpose. Now that the former thread can't be locked and can't be use, what do you think will happen to the two account? Now @mixymoney representative of the new ANN account will be trying to stop people from using the old account but they can't because the thread there is still open and the website contained the link of the old thread so if people clink on the link in the website they would be directed to the old thread and not the new one.

So I advise that they should insert the link of the old thread in the OP of the new thread and advise people not to engage themselves on the old thread but for the new thread.

You people are operating two ANN threads therefore, I will want you guys to lock one and open the other for easy communications. This is the former one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5415483.new#new which I was busy engaging myself over there a good Samaritan saw me alone there in the wilderness and dropped the new ANN thread there for me to come out from the desert Grin. A passerby examplens is the one who rescued me from the abandoned ANN thread. I thanks him for that.

However, I will transfer this to the original thread, so as not to unnecessarily bump the old one, which will not be in use

Agbe, They haven't access to @mixymoney forum account, OP of old thread. So because of that they open a new account and create a new ANN thread. Without access to @mixymoney forum account, also is not possible to lock this old thread.  Wink

Just seeing this campaign for the first time and I have this feeling that it will go a long way...

No offence, The spreadsheet Hardly opens, why?
This is ANN and not a campaign thread.

If you have questions regarding the campaign, please ask them in the appropriate thread.  Wink

welcome back...

You should try to change your Bitcointalk ANN link in your home page as it is still anchored to your old thread.

Welcome back.

Is there any particular reason why you wrote the email address as "[banned mixer](at)proton.me" and not the usual way?
It was I who created bbcode for them, and did it so that the email address would not be indexed by Google.

/][banned mixer] is the best BTC mixer and is built on a unique self-written algorithm that provides real cleaning of your Bitcoins. We actually purify bitcoin, not send coins from one user to another. All the coins you get, come directly from exchanges, pass any purity tests, and completely anonymize your actions. 🐱
