Personally this looks a safer bet, going forward browser would have inbuilt trusted reliable features for most of the blockchains and may be there will be a consortium formed similar to WWW. Browsers have to evolve creating these standards. Having browser plugins/add-ons is just a temporary solution. This is freedom and not enforcing something that people don't need or like to see.

to be honest I was excited for this, but under 200 coin holders own this? actually it's not even 200 coin holders, its 200 addresses....could literally be even less actual owners

That's right, Most of big ICOs have driven by the whale, so there is no chance for the normal person to participate on the crowdsale. Iconomi bought a lot of BAT, and they will do in another project in the future. Disappointed
