I won't be surprised if it turns out that the fiat withdrawal problems at BFX were deliberate, so could unload their own bags at a premium price on their own exchange. It wouldn't be surprising if they go full gox with money going missing either. Anyway people who deal with them will probably loose one way or another.

Battered but well placed. May the chaos ensue!

Maybe I'm working too hard to pay much attention but this isn't even a rally yet in my eyes, we are just finally recovered from The Goxxing.

As far as Finex goes, if it can still Gox bitcoiners after the repeated warnings and huge red flags over the past several years... well, they deserve it.

Those of us who Bitcoin touched inappropriately between 2014/15, are you fully healed and behind this rise?

I'm still not too happy about the Bitfinex thing and would be far more excited if things were back to normal. I can't tell whether that's lingering PTSD or a justified gripe. How are you feeling deep down inside?

Something just don't seem right about this rally but I'm happy. Just not as happy as I've been in the past about rallies.

To be completely honest, I don't like this sudden and fast climb. It just doesn't look like a very healthy growth to me. Definitely not sustainable at this crazy pace. It was happening before and we all know how it ends.

Perhaps this time it's going to be different, but I am not so sure about it.

So I know I'm not someone who counts as a bull, but right now I think you're looking at being at an advantage by not shoving money into the market.
This is just personal opinion, but the Bitfinex thing really looks like it is destroying the market and most exchanges now vary wildly in value. I think it's a bubble, or some sort of phenomenon where everywhere is inflating with zero checks and balances. It will likely keep going up for a while, but it doesn't seem sustainable.
I'd watch the market closely. The volumes on most exchanges are pretty low so there isn't much to prove any sort of support for the price as it stands.
Basically, get in, be ready to get out because once it starts going down it will be brutal, if it goes down.

I just don't understand why this is happening. There's nothing beyond Bitfinex or the ETF being reviewed again to make sense of.

I can't decide if I want a repeat of 2013 or not. It probably wouldn't be healthy, and yet it's so tempting ...

Most people only care about their own gains, so if you think logically, these people will not mind going through the same roller coaster once again. It's too profitable to let such an opportunity slip away. If I am completely honest, I am on the same boat too. If it happens, then there is no way to avoid it as small fish -- so why not use it in your advantage? I rather exploit certain situations in my advantage, than waiting and not doing anything. Increasing the number of coins that I have is an important target for me -- as is the case for basically anyone.

It definitely feels good, but part of the reason I think I'm not more excited / blown away is the price is "only" up by like 5% per day last couple days (1% per day average over the last month). Last bubble saw doubling in price in a day or two. Much healthier this time, even if I also feel it should slow a bit.

Watch the alt coin market... When that bubble pops, I expect many to shift coin back to BTC. If I were playing that market, no way I'd still be in it now.

I am cautiously optimistic. 2013/2014 was a hell of a ride. I expect nothing less from the future.

Maybe Bitfinex helped this bull and was the reason behind it?
I remember that it all started (crazy price upward trend) because traders couldn't use USD wire transfers, so the only way was to buy more BTC.
So my theory is: that artificial pump was an origin or bull run we are witnessing right now.

Yes. So that's why I'm not feeling exactly cock a hoop. It's just the usual Bitfinex crap that ultimately screws everyone over. A rise based on one exchange's dysfunction is going to blow up in everyone's face sooner rather than later.

But perhaps I'm overestimating the effect. It's hard to tell.

Are you not amused that despite Bitfinex problems we can rise so high? Maybe Bitfinex helped this bull and was the reason behind it?

Excited but apprehensive at the same time. I'd preter us to slow down a bit now for a few months. Perhaps a period of consolidation between $1350 - $1550?

Exactly the same here. Let's not get too carried away.

We all know what happens after a rise like this.

I've held bitcoin during 2013 until now so I feel I've seen it all. I will keep hodling on as per normal.

As long as you keep coming out with some spanking one liners Gentlemand I'll be happy.

Edit..Ps. Feeling good but strangely not that excited about the rise. I remember feeling more happy when it crossed $400 summer before last I believe. I don't know why.
