I've noticed that playing mods for BF2. Sometimes I would do anything just to play a non-American faction but it's always American vs. Insurgents or Americans vs. Middle Eastern (cheers to confirming stereotypes that Americans irrationally hate muslims. Cheesy

Battlefield Series is quickly becoming like the Sims, with a new DLC / game / expansion every 3 months no surprise given who controls Dice.

Original BF1942 (with expansions) had 8 factions, combined arms and naval warfare and represented every theater of WW2 (except the Chinese and Finnish theater).

Now Battlefield is just two to three factions. Roll Eyes

Yeah, looks like it would have been a great mod/addon to BF4 or something, that would have been so much better.
For now, is it only that one gamemode? Cops vs robbers? It's like payday and battlefield combined.
