Hey guys, let's keep the discussion about the price of Bcash in this thread.  So no crypto politics or 'my coin is better than your coin' type of arguments.

I'm starting to get intrigued with Bcash tbh (from a trading perspective).  Do you guys think it can go after Bitcoin?
Though I sold my bitcoin Cash too early I think it might not go after bitcoin but it is doing very well now. I think many trading exchangers platforms has recognize bitcoin Cash and has listed it on they platforms. As at today bitcoin Cash has gone as high as $1000 dollars from yesterday take off of $303. We should keep our fingers crossed as I expect a serious clash days to come because of the activities of pump and dump group.

I've cashed mine 3 minutes ago. For those who hodl: good luck. I just didn't want to keep a coin that has nice profit now but an uncertain future...

I think that the BCC will show itself later. May be when the BTC starts to fall, many will look for an alternative to BCC.

i am hold now and will wait about 1500$

It's a challenging situation for both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash to prove themselves and BCH is currently being seen to be the most profitable coin in terms of mining as difficulty is being settled down slowly and as more miners switch/start to mine BCH, we may see BCH to be gaining speed as they expected but still it won't replace the position of BTC that it handles, ever. But it's my personal wish that both of them remain in the markets to see which one of both the versions has, what it takes to sit on that position.

Does anybody have any idea why Bcash is moving really quick the past two days?  I bet China has finally started to place their money where their mouth is.

I could see this reach maybe 50% of BTC's price.  But the question is will the hash rate follow?  Fun times for Bitcoin.

There is a pump going on, to make it more profitable to mine bitcoincash (the difficulty adjusts down this weekend and low difficulty + high price make it mucho profitable to mine).

And it does look like some miners are switching - see the following image, where they mined 9 blocks in an hour:

you've already made it political by calling it Bcash Cheesy
i don't know why but their followers are pretty worked up about this name for some weird reason...

Lol.  Really?  Why don't they want to call it Bcash?  It's better than saying Bitcoin Cash all the time.  It's too long.

Bcc/bch from my understanding is controlled by miners. Why should I trust them? It seems like a bad idea they only are interested in their own profits.

It isn't about trust.  It's about trading and making a profit IN BITCOINS.  If you start looking at trading like a game of poker, you wouldn't care what's being traded as long as there's enough volume and liquidity.  And right now there's a lot of volume in Bcash.

The only thing that intrigued me is why people would be buying it at 0.3 BTC and 0.4 BTC and above, people paid real coins for this new, made out of thin air, coin.

When SegWit2X fork happens are these people going to buy that also for real coins at similar prices?

If so, let's make a fork every week...

That would be sweet but I think somebody already thought of that lol.

The miners keep the network of bitcoin cash, But there is no a lot of miners are mining the bitcoin cash in this time. The network is really slow compared with the bitcoin original. Miners already made a statement mine the bitcoin cash is not profitable.

Actually bitcoin cash has a big probability for it to surpass bitcoin but I am sure it is not happening right away, but it could in my point of view. But still we can not speculate much about this coin because it is still new and a lot of projects has to be proven from this coin as well for investors to invest in this coin.

there is nothing to be intrigued about at this point because it is not being traded under normal circumstances which makes any attempt for a serious speculation pointless in my opinion.
first the blocks need to become stable and the risks go down then the exchanges have to open up deposits then people have to find easy and not scary ways of moving their coins to exchanges and things become normal-er then we can start speculating.

i prefer not to speculate on long term expectations. too unpredictable. it's even too difficult to gauge demand for Bcash right now because there is so little liquidity on the exchanges, and many people are (i think) scared to move it. rightfully so--i don't really trust the wallets floating around and will need to take some time to analyze the code.

i'm not in a rush because i see this materializing like the ETH split:

this has got ethereum classic written all over it.

initial instability --> difficulty adjustment, profitable mining --> initial dump from ETH (BTC) holders --> accumulation --> pump

and if ETC is anything to go by it's not going to be dead, either. the question is, where will the value come from to hold up BCH in this case? either Bitcoin's network, or a whole lot of new crypto money...

at the very least, there will be a big pump or three. and it might just become correlated to Bitcoin, like ETC did with ethereum.

i don't see it "going after" Bitcoin really. what i think is happening: Bitmain is using ViaBTC to test the waters for a hard fork. and judging by the massive outpouring of support from exchanges, this doesn't bode well as we approach the November segwit2x hard fork.

there is definitely a big contingent of bitcoiners who will oppose that fork. it also has major corporate/miner backing. if Bcash (a Bitmain shitcoin fork with low hash rate and bloat blocks) can get this much support right out of the gate, imagine what a mass marketed fork could look like.

interesting times...

I don't think that this is a serious competitor to LTC or any other coin out there. It is just interesting because it was airdrop, and those who hold most of BTC's also pumping this new altcoin. It is simple, more they invest more they will get. I don't like this game, so i don't support BCH.

Starting at a very high price I think he will not exceed the bitcoin price, none of the altcoins will exceed the bitcoin price. I've tried BCH trading in bittrex with good profit but very risky, indeed a good graphics like bitcoin are not easy to guess.

In the short term, BCC will be mass dumped and you can already see how far it's price had fallen since it's debut. In the long term, it might have a chance to catch up to BTC, but that would be in the very long term... perhaps in a few years Smiley imo anyway.

What is there to speculate? if I fork Bitcoin now would any of you speculate about it? no body even cares about BCC other than claiming their free money.

There are so many coins without any value to crypto. Why would that suddenly matter?  BCC will not go away. IT might be way lover value as of now or might be way higher value as of now, but is here to stay.
What surprised me was that I expect that coins that are similar to BTC and BCC ( LTC, DASH, Doge, DigiByte, ZCash, ...) did not lose value after this fork. they got a serious competitor.

It doesn't really matter if it's way overvalued now or not.  What matters is selling at the first huge pump in the coming days.  I'm sure there are savvy altcoin day traders who are licking their chops for this opportunity to make some profit again, now that the trend across the trend seemed to lull a little bit.

There is a possibility that there will be a massive dump from bitcoin holders when deposits are already open in exchanges. It will take some time before we can properly speculate for this coin.

speculation about Bitcoin Cash is very simple,
DUMP all of your coin when they're enabling deposit or withdrawal process.
and for you who's not yet taking any action about this and don't have it,
just don't buy it right here and now because in a few days many people will dump it and that's the right time for you to buy it and fill your bag.

I would recommend TwSeventh strategy before getting a BCC. Since you may lose if you buy BCC now and not able to sell it high. A lot of investor is waiting until the BCC wallet is up and running then they will dump it and that is the right time to get a BCC.

So can someone confirm if there is a single exchange thus far accepting deposits or withdraws?

What is frozen exactly, BTC and BCC deposits and withdraws are both frozen on all excanges? That's crazy. I guess that's why the price isn't dumping to 5 dollars yet.

So when can we send our BCC and sell?
Bittrex and Hitbtc, dunno if more exchanges. But it may take a while with 20 confirmations on bittrex
On hitbtc you need 2 if I read it correctly last time

I posted it in another thread. Deppends what they thought they could achieve...I also bought at 0.27 at bittrex, but I saw how the trading book was chewed down and I could sell it at 0.45...
If they still held after pumping this hard...well, too bad for them...

Bittrex opened deposits for Bitcoin Cash so we see big dump in no time. Everybody who deposited their tokens dump on the exchange now. When it settles I think it will be around 0.10 - 0.20 BTC range, nothing more for short term.

my hypothesis, price dive in the short run
why is it still as strong as $450? https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/bitcoin-cash/usd/
I think because a lot of people still havent access their BCH yet
And exchange that do not support BCH have not or are not "allowed" to release them into the market yet
So, sell now and scoop it back later? Who can tell what to do!

BCC or Bitcoins Cash this a newly launch Altcoins result of Bitcoins Fork  Since BCC is a free money expect biggest dump on their because this is a free money and all you need to do is claim and exchange it  in  the most established Coins Bitcoins. So if the mass selling is on   price will be going down and expect the 50$ to 100$  before it going to high far away.

Bitcoin Cash interests me a lot. At first I thought it would be like a stock split and that some value would go from btc to bcc like what happened with ETH...  I put a ETH long even because I thought the ETH/BTC ratio would change as BTC gets revalued.

But then I realized this not like ETH at all.  This blockchain is totally different beast.  Different block times, algo, and miners bring in a whole new paradigm.

I would love to know what the biggest thing holding these prices up are, and why BTC pre split did not have more value (If BCC stays liquid in this price range)
