'Proof-of-SpeakingTruth' might have sounded better and 'Proof-of-PersonalTermsAndConditions' might have come closer to what it is... but that train hast left the station for me  Grin

Albeit the abbreviation: PoPTaC is NICE!

I furthermore found the whole UI-icon set of Bitcoin 0.3.21 BETA: https://www.reinka.org/delete/BitcoinApp_UI-icons.zip

& the original icon as .icns-file of Bitcoin-Qt 0.9.2: https://www.reinka.org/delete/bitcoin.icns
as well as high-res .png: https://www.reinka.org/delete/Bitcoin-Qt%200.9.2_screenshot.png

...while the picture below is a low-res .png again:

Glad that the coins exceeded your expectations. That means a lot.

The BC logo is actually from Satoshi first client in 2010.   Believe it or not, it's probably the first Bitcoin logo period.  So we try and acknowledge a lot of Bitcoin and Physical Bitcoin history in our bitcoins.
Sry, if some of my comments sounded harsher than they were actually ment! Albeigh it is the harshest critique I could give what tells us: Your coin is for sure well thought-out.

You definitively have high goals and I might have something for you (if you do not allready have it) by digging a little bit in my back-ups:
the original BitcoinAppIcon.icns from Bitcoin 0.3.21 BETA - Copyright (c) 2009-2011 Bitcoin Developers

as low-res here on the forum but as highest-res screenshot here: https://www.reinka.org/delete/BitcoinAppIcon_screenshot.png
and the original .icns-file you'll get here: https://www.reinka.org/delete/BitcoinAppIcon.icns
for download.

EDIT: Sry for doing EDITs from time to time on my comments!
English is not my native language and I find spelling mistakes and better formulations which clear up things for you pretty much every time I re-read any comment written by me.
Writing long and kinda complex sentences often doesn't help... I know. So, please excuse this behaviour of mine.
I won't destroy the meaning of my comments nor hide any faulty oder incorrect behaviour through editing them => I know the difference between an excuse and a beg for pardon.
I really like numbers (they don't lie, people do) => I won't mess consciously with any number I post on this board but instead I'll try to be a pool of information and reliable resource.
But I also hope the members of this board tell me early enough when things have been well-documented or over-discussed in another section or when I'm (obviously) wrong with any of my theses.
This can be seen as my 'terms & conditions' concerning my user here and as real person if I/WE should ever meet offline.
And now I hope I won't find too many mistakes later because as proof-of-truth (i might guess) I WILL NOT EDIT this very comment anymore.
I hope you had fun reading this or maybe even getting inspired by it. What about a QR-code (e.g.: printed on a T-Shirt) connected to your in BTC's blockchain mined/time-stamped 'terms & conditions'?

The coins are great! I've enjoyed giving these to people as gifts (perfect price for that). They're very large with a good weight to them. One recipient commented that they didn't fully understand Bitcoin until they held one of these in their hands and the physicality of it made it click for them. Here is an image of the back of a 2021-A coin. I like the cleaner look of the 2021 holos.

Hi ConcordeSST!

Thanks for the positive comments.

Yes we also like the small incremental changes on the hologram for the 2021-A series; cleaner is better.

YES!  Physical Bitcoins are a great key pair teaching tool and helps new people conceptualize.  This is one of the top reasons that this project was "good" and we are very happy to be a tiny part of the growth.

Quick review:

- I got my order (2 of each) a week ago, minor delivery problems to Europe which all have been resolved by you guys without me doing anything (thanks!)
- each coin came double-sealed (outer package and coin slab itself) but only time will tell how secure your privKey-management is => I, for my part, was not intended to load them anyway, I just collect them
- the coins are bigger, heaviery and shinier than I thought (didn't read the product description well enough) and come in a monumental slab => for collecting purposes it might be better, if you guys could put them from the beginning on in coin slabs of official size (saves place and fits in albums and boxes made for exactly this purpose. Coin grading services also use this standardized slabs) so customers won't need to open yours to transfer them
- production quality is exactly as pictured above (that seems to be an actual foto of a coin, not a 3D-rendering... as I estimated before holding a coin). Nothing to complain about!

- the "BC" logo laser print might be chosen a little bit unlucky because I, for my part, associate it with Bitcoin Cash which makes this stale taste in my mouth => although it's not symmetrical a "BCmint" logo laser print would do the work in your favour...

Overall impression:
I can feel how dedicated BCmint works on this project and if you guys really hold on to the 321/500 pieces, in the moment you sell your last coin prices for collectors easily will climb up to plastic-Satori-Coin regions of $240,- => I would put your coins on the most undervalued list right now because of this easily foreseeable 10x in the near future! Indeed, a cool coin!

Hi BobbyCoins!  Thanks for the positive words!

https://bcmint.com/blogs/news/bcmint-physical-bitcoins-in-detail-2020-a

Please check out the above link for some of the details within the coins.

We chose to try and make "unbranded" Physical Bitcoins, in that there are no logos, even the name BCmint doesn't appear on our coins.  Just plain Bitcoins (although in the very detail of the microprint of the 8 outer wedges there are minuscule BC in the microprint hologram, invisible to the naked eye)

Related to the 321 series run of 2020-A; yes that is the final tally and no more can be made.

Related to the 500 series run of 2021-A; we will continue to make them for a few more months, but we will not exceed 500 no matter what.

Key-pair security is the most important factor in all of this; and the part that we take most seriously.  Only time will tell, but I assure you that the key pairs are supervised by the director, the computers are air gapped and never online, and the data from the run is deleted.   Our friends and family and business associates also have our coins, and there can never be a breach.     Lastly, we are looking to make these coins in annual runs for the next decades - some day to be the longest and most trusted Physical Bitcoins that are available period.  We have a long long way to go to live up to casascius; but being second is the ultimate goal.    "Time will tell" is exactly right.

FYI, on your website in the “history of physical bitcoin” you list Infinitum Coins in your timeline. It’s important to note that this company is/was a big scam. I would encourage you guys to note that.

Greetings Bitcointalk.

First a quick question.  Secondly a general update.

Question: Customized BCmint Physical Bitcoins

It may be possible to create some special customized coins.

This would mean that the large BC logo on the tamper-evident hologram is replaced with the logo of your choosing OR we make some modifications to the laser printing on the reverse.  Both are possible, but it really depends on how many we would be doing.

We have some interest in this, but it would mean specialized equipment and a 3 month turnaround time.

If the price was same or only very slightly more than a normal A series coin, would you guys be interested in having some of these custom coins done?

If we were going to do this, then we would likely make one special customized coin series and have them ready for before Christmas.

We also would like to do this for our own friends and companies, but it only makes sense if we are making a couple of hundred of them due to additional cost, effort and resources.

I would just like to know if there is general interest in this.  No commitment to purchase.

Secondly, general update:

2020-A series - $24

The last of the original 2020-A coins are available.
The final minted run is 321 coins instead of the planned 500. We stopped making them to focus on the 2021-A coins. They are available now on the website and drop shipped from USA so it's fast. Tracker updated.

2021-A series - $24

The first shipment of 2021-A coins are available. The planned minted run is 500. We will not make any more than 500. 2021-A coins are available now on the website and drop shipped from USA.

Changes on the 2021-A coins are

The small diagonal "BC" is removed.
2021 is embedded in the microprint detail.
The printed public key is a larger and clearer font.
    Improved tamperproof hologram honeycombs

We are starting to work on the 2022-A BCmint Physical Bitcoins, which will be available in December.

Thanks again to this forum for the support. It's been really fun Smiley
