I don't get why people think this forum is a decentralized forum just because it is a "bitcoin" related forum. Your logic is like, this is bitcoin forum, bitcoin = decentralized system, so this forum should be a decentralized place too.
This forum is owned by someone and he/she give us space to talk and making something in this forum, not to take down this forum or whatsoever.
He/she can and have 100% power to do whatever he/she want for this forum, like making a system like activity point, merit point, etc. We are here as a stranger or newcomer, why do you protest so much and not knowing your place?
Imagine if you have a house, then you make a party in that house, all people from your neighborhood will come to your house, drink and eat, you re giving people time and something to make on your house (talking, business, etc), then after some time, you decide to end the party, but all people from your neighborhood decided still want to party at your house and fight you back, do you think it is fine? nope, I am 100% sure that you will use your power and authority to stop the party by any means.
Or if you want something more decentralized thing related to bitcoin and to apply bitcoin=decentralized system logic, then ill make one

We don't want the admins of BCT to just say, lets re-start all over again, new forum and implement the merit system. Lets give the merit system a try.

of cause the forum is not a cryptography libertarian forum anymore, and the admins have little experience on how to govern the "real world". In real world, such a change would have to go through a public discussion first, then test it in some boards or some sub-demographic, before considering a full-blown change.

the crypto world has changed and for sure it won't go back to 2010. i don't think most people come here now to make money. still more come here for the dream of discentralization, of freedom --- only to find that the power here is so centralized. The spirit of freedom is absolutely more important than having quality post.

also maybe only 2% of the posts mentioned that the merit system might be temporary. most posts says:
- the merit system is good
- don't whine

Here is the point. If "considering signature campaign as a income" is wrong, why not we banning the signature campaign? We could say that the forum agree with the exist of signature campaign. As for the spamming, it is the mistake of the projects who require people to post lots of message to complete the mission. In this case, if you want a clear forum, please ban those spamming projects, instead of banning the new members.

Could anyone dare to say that all his posts are high quality and thus he become a hero? I don't think so. Those old member, contributed to the forum, also got their levels by posting lots of messages with both meaningful and meaningless. SO what I want to clarify is that new members should have right to use the same ways to rank up as those old members, as for the spams, please dont't blame them to those innocent new members.

Firstly stop complaining about mods and legends they have been in this forum for year even in 2010 when no one even gave a shit about btc or about this forum , that time there were no signature campaigns , no one paid them the hosting and domain charges they paid from there income they never complained or bragged that they have been running this forum from their own funds without any revenue, then what makes you say they don't deserve to join any bounty.

Firstly stop complaining about mods and legends they have been in this forum for year even in 2010 when no one even gave a shit about btc or about this forum , that time there were no signature campaigns , no one paid them the hosting and domain charges they paid from there income they never complained or bragged that they have been running this forum from their own funds without any revenue, then what makes you say they don't deserve to join any bounty.
And speaking of merits there are a few threads around if you feel you make quality posts give them the link you can get merits.

So if this is a pure tech forum, let's only talk about tech details here, most post will be very "Valuable", and the whole forum will be very SEO friendly!
But it's also a economic forum...let's go straight to the point...it's also a money making forum, so "signature campaigns " is very important here, for everyone!

I complain not because I'm not here since 2010,,, just because the rank upgrading been controlled by man...

what we need is a strict rule for new campaigns to prevent scam... but not a nonsense merits system !

Merit system doesn't ban you from posting the forum had never really banned anyone even if they were spamming or have red tag. You can still post one liners or burst post as long as you are not in any signature campaign.

It's not new members fault... they are new, but also need to be treated fairly！ Mods and legends can join bounty freely, and have the ability to control the whole projects now !
The merits' source is now been controlled, the rank upgrading is ruled by man, not by law!
