It's not the top result, it's an adwords ad. Use adblock. Grin
Which adblock disables these paid search google ads? I am currently using Ad Block Plus and with it running I always see that obnoxious top search ads.
I thought they were hard to block since they are not image based ads.

By reading a lot of hacking attempts to forum users, some even successful ones unfortunately plus seeing this phishing ads on google, its clear, hackers are turning to old school hacking via phishing because a lot of unaware victims to be made. Add 2fa to your email and any important site you use, always double check the website you are accessing, make sure https is on and don't download anything suspicious, delete all of your spam emails and never open them.

These things seem to crop up every few weeks. I know google have alot on their plate but there's got to be some way of verifying stuff even automatically.

I amazed that why google adwords don't review their ads. I mean doesn't they have policy of manually accepting ads in their network? if so it has been so many times these types of ads are seen in google network. Google staffs seems to be noob at bitcoin.  Angry

ofc that they always did it, they always check that his users paid before put them Tongue, google is just another one company searching for increased his incomes, never forget that...

if you made click on those ads and your computer turn infected (imagine the case), will be google fault?

I always ignore ads. I ignore them so much so I almost don't see them anymore. Brain do the job, you don't see what you don't need.

But anyway, thanks OP, we should be careful with those phishing scums.
Same here, for years now, I have developed a sixth sense that makes me ignore all those forced ads. I hate when I get ads pushed down my throat when im not even looking for shit to buy, thats I use stuff like uBlock origin. I disable it in the websites and youtube channels I want to support tho, content creators need to eat too.

Terminated.
Have you tried reporting the problem to Google? I did see something of that sort as I was testing something without Ad blocker and instantly reported it. Here's the link:
Report phishing.
