-snip-NFT giveaways, we have to be wary of them, they want us to follow them, but for them they want to increase followers so we have to know which one is legit when looking at the actual airdrop or giveaway.
Honestly, I'm tired of scams on Telegram, I'm always added to the group, even though I have to go out and report it every day.

We can probably avoid it but I'll alert the clueless newbie.
talking about NFT Giveaway, I even see it every day, whether it's using the same account or other accounts. their goal is clear to increase followers and if there are more followers they will use the twitter account for other crimes. If you find a Twitter account like that, it's better to report it so that it will be blocked immediately. Being a giveaway and airdrop hunter does have a lot of risks, but vigilance and research is very important. Ignorant beginners need to learn to do research so they know and understand the methods used by scammers.
Obviously, I always lead go there how not to giveaway NFT what I suspect that doesn't make sense is that it always tweets every hour, somehow the comments and retweets are always a lot while scammers always doesn't provide proof of who the winner, therefore I suspect it and will definitely report it so that it doesn't appear on the homepage on my twitter.
This is indeed a trick for scammers, in this way they can add followers from this twitter result, they can be made into other scammers who are hype or trending in one project, more precisely, always cloning.

It is very unfortunate how these scammers won't stop doing this and If we are too careless and do not do any searches, it is possible we may fall to their trick.  Well, it has been known to us that social media is now become a medium for such activities, and can't deny that many people have become a victim of this.

Yet never find a solution how to combat this thing aside from being vigilant and to be much careful in checking the link, the address, and not simply giving trust easily. We should take responsibility in regard to this in order for them not to succeed.

Seriously scammers are everywhere and they are coming up with new strategies, sometimes thier tricks look very real and you won't believe they are scammers, being vigilant is very important and we all have to be very careful,   and incase if anybody discover any new tricks used by them let's try and share it with other people.

I guess that twitter account is a hacked one and just renamed its name and username as it has quite lot of followers already.

Look at the handle, it's 'Galxy' instead of 'Galaxy', these accounts are created only for scam purposes. Regarding followers, it doesn't take much effort on Twitter to get that count up.

Followers can be bought so its not good to make that count as legitimate basis for anyone to call that page as a legit one so its good for people to research if the offer is legitimate so that we can avoid getting scam by fake pages who want to steal money from newbie people seeking for opportunity to earn.

I often encounter methods like this on twitter, even Elon Musk's twitter clones are also often used to trick twitter users into being interested in participating in the giveaway or airdrop posted.
and some projects that are currently hype are also not spared from being cloned as a method of deception. not only on twitter, in telegram there are also lots of scammers who target their victims by adding them to several scam groups and also through private messages. Must be aware of all kinds of methods of the latest scammers today, must be smarter than them (scammers).

I just want to remind that they have imitated or revived a fake Twitter that cloned Project Galaxy, their trick is the same as the OP revealed by offering an airdrop/giveaway on his twitter even this is not much different at all, so I hope they are careful with their reappearance.

I hope that many people report it so that it is immediately suspended.

It would be quite tricky for some people not paying attention to much to details. I am going to admit that that I did not notice the missing "a" in the Twitter handle in the first place.
When I open Twitter, I usually just look into the name and handle itself then follower count then continue to scroll down to the oblivion and I know there would be some people similar to me when it comes to that.
Good thing I don't invest to these anymore.
That was the very first thing to consider and often got mistaken. Most of the time we miss checking every detail that has been written and it looks just okay and the same but with these special characters added to their names direct as to different groups or sites.

They won't succeed if we all become vigilant and careful in our actions this will help to avoid such things. And we are thankful to @PZ-X for doing the report and making us aware.

I don't think it was hacked they just try to copy the official project name and username to deceive people. Having alot of followers on twitter is now very easy, People buy followers and also with money there is a way to get verified on twitter too nothing is impossible nowadays. The scammers invest money to set up the account to make it look real and that's what they are doing nowadays so let's all be careful not to fall victim.
Possible, but like what I said, that account has verified account follower too, even some accounts I followed is following that account too. Don't you think, these account is part of the buy/sell scheme of followers on twitter even the verified one? I don't think so.

Anyways, seems twitter is fast handling reports now, the account is already suspended.

This one is been suspended already. I guess there is someone who reports them.
Yep, i did, twitter did confirmed and give me an update regarding the report.

The problem with Twitter and even the other social media platform, people can easily make and change their names which is why it is hard for them to get traced and caught by the authority.
If the authority will directly ask this platform staff it might be caught but if the account was made for the scam purpose and everything was there is fake, there's nothing we can do.

This is a part of Elon Musk's plan when he bought this platform, to eliminate those fake accounts that cause different scams and also spamming a scam on Twitter or defeating spambots.  He wants to become a decentralized platform, an open-source algorithm.

This isn't new, we always encounter fake social media accounts from those popular projects for the purpose to scam people.  Learn how to verify the legitimacy.

The real one will remain.
This kind of scam trick isn't new but somehow many people got to fall into this. If we do not look carefully at their names and do searches, we easily got tricked.

I saw Project Galaxy copied by a group of scammers they lowered the airdrop of $100k to $1,000,000 on twitter and also sales on Pancakeswap with a minimum purchase of 0.3BNB, I'm sure when you could buy you won't be able to sell it maybe you can call it Honeypots.
They stole the image from the real thing to trick his followers into becoming part of their trap.

But I saw the original project would be Lunchpool on Binance and never traded on Pancakeswap.
So be careful maybe the scammers take advantage of their large following and also their sales on pancaswap.

Official Twitter Project Galaxy: https://twitter.com/ProjectGalaxyHQ

This strategy is not something new today. In the telegram, every big project community manager has more than one scammer with the almost same name. Actually, they do minor changes like changing capital later to small later which looks almost the same, and sometimes reckless investors don't notice those small differences. I can see the same thing happens with its Twitter username.

I see the fake Twitter account has been suspended and can't be accessed again maybe because they have reported many cases so they are more vigilant about it.
In this case, there have been a lot of things happening on Twitter by cloning fake Twitter for a big project but they take advantage of the situation of people who don't know to take part in giveaways and also sales that don't make sense, so I think this is good, Twitter is gone, I hope a lot of people are more aware of airdrop hunting on Twitter.

It's a clear scam, with nothing to do with Airdrop or the main project. Scammers always doing that, nothing new. They are just spreading their scam methods by fake Airdrop. That project is ready for Binance Launchpool they won't sell the token on Pancakeswap. Then Binance won't allow them to sell their token on the Launchpool. Just don't be greedy and don't lose your funds. Every day a lot of scammers repeating same things.

I would recommend not to believe in anything you hunch feels is a scam, I am not much of the social media type, but I believe twitter is becoming the headquarters of Crypto-currency scam and everyone need to be aware of this, keep what of all the fake give aways, airdrop or even fake influencers shilling and also so many bot, imposters accounts are being created on twitter, always try to verify anything before being a part of it

Twitter is the easiest way to make a fake one. These scammers even using a verified twitter and copied the details of the original one and some will not noticed it since it has many followers and the blue tag. What worse is Twitter allowed the said activity to happened. Some of those scammers bag already many funds stolen from this way so must be careful.

Twitter should ban all verified accounts with these kind of activity cause its hurt a lot of investors.
Not only Twitter scammers are using the same method on YouTube and Facebook. They generate revenue by scamming those who are always greedy and go for such fake airdrops or multipliers. This not new but still an effective way to scam.

Yes and I agree with your statement regarding those verified accounts who does scammish things like this. The hackers are really desperate and trying different methods or strategies just to deceive users. As Elon Musk is taking over Twitter, hopefully he is going to include this in his to-do list to minimize scamming activities especially if it’s a “verified” account.

The account also not verified, I don't know if verified account could change the profile name, perhaps it's more difficult I guess.
It's possible to change one's Twitter display name whether or not they are verified.

On other social platforms like Instagram, it is possible to check how many times a user has changed their handles in the past and can be used to guess the possibility of these accounts being scam related. Would be a good addition on Twitter as most of the scam accounts are recycled and used again.

Anyone should be attentive enough and careful with everything. I have never even participated in an airdrop project until now. Although I heard that there are some airdrops that become coins or tokens that are expensive. But that's very rare for this year. They are smart by making similar names even if they are different, and regarding the number of followers you can buy them for now. There are many price offers in social media to increase the number of followers.

Can Twitter accounts profile name and Twitter handles be changed? I have not touched my Twitter that much so I am not particularly sure.
It's possible.

Almost project right now is promoting their project with airdrops and to participate in airdrops is really easy, that's why many newbies like airdrop project. If you want to avoid getting scammed, you should avoid any shitcoins at all cost. Choosing an altcoin is just like a gambling, you can be correct and you can be wrong.

Yeah, but I don't think all of them are bots or whatnot. There are users i followed following the account (since its visible checking using your account), even a verified account too lol. So there's a bigger  chance that this was a hacked account like what other incidents who copied elon profile and do fake giveaway.

If it is possible, this could possibly be a legitimate account with a lot of followers, not related to Project Galaxy or whatever that project is, but was bought by someone for this kind of purpose.
In Facebook, pages can be sold and I had some meme pages I followed back in the days that just changed their name into something that I was not even aware of until I checked the old posts.

Although I see no typical giveaway deposit requirements, but its ridiculous to see that there are lots who participate on the pinned post knowing its fake. I hope you report the account as i did though.
