Great signature (we share firstbits). Why so pessimistic?

I would be happy if it hit $40 by the end of the year.

I would be surprised if we do not hit $100 in September.

From Wikipedia:

Quote
Internet traffic – In 1993, total Internet traffic amounted to approximately 100 TB for the year.[4] As of June 2008[update], Cisco Systems estimated Internet traffic at 160 TB/s (which, assuming to be statistically constant, comes to 5 zettabytes for the year).

Pretty fascinating.

Wouldn't surprise me at all either. I'm of the view Bitcoin is still in its infancy and is comparable to the internet and Windows 3.1 in 1993 compared to today's internet and Windows 7. I'm confident we're gonna see an explosion in interest AND price before Christmas.

Quite possibly.....The last run to 30 started just under ten when the publicity hit. We're not really in a much different place now other then that bitcoin has been tested since then, and we have more exchanges.....

The previous declining plateau before rally was March-June, roughly $1 to $10 (overspike to $30, 10-30x)
  Previous to that, December-February, $0.3 to $1 (3x).
And previously, just after Mt Gox opened, late 2010, $0.06 to $0.3 (50x).
While three similar patterns does not make a rule, I would be surprised if we do not hit $100 in September.

This is good news IMO..I like how the 2nd link has a direct link to Mt Gox too lol

Get ready for an influx of new buyers?

Even if they end with the typical, "illegal", "money laundering," and "ponzi scheme" mantra that is in every mainstream BTC article.

yeah and they harm the illegal market when they find out it isnt quite that easy and the ponzi schemes are well contained in the gambling subcategory and interestingly even when told it is a scheme, people flock there.

Should generate some interest.  Any news is supposedly good news.  Even if they end with the typical, "illegal", "money laundering," and "ponzi scheme" mantra that is in every mainstream BTC article.
