It might not be political since those that know so well about beauty pageant will understand all that is needed. I feel everything gambling is a risk and this is the same thing that would happen to those partaking in this kind of betting, the chances of winning should be easier because the criteria for winning a beauty pageant is always stated but at the same time, it will still be a 50/50 chance game.

I have not seen beauty pageant bet before but I would try to play if I ever see knowing that winning will be easier than Poker or dice games. The best games for now are still sports betting. Every other gambling is still learning.

Not really a 50/50 change game yet we know the no. of participants joining up the contest.Yes, we know the criteria but there are lots of factors that do affect such winning chance. Question and answer question portion answer is one of it, it does mainly affect contestants chances of winning.We wont know if they would got mental block midway and might the reason on such loss no matter how good they are on looks or talents.

Agree, but there are times that you have a bit of clue who’s gonna win because they have updates who’s the crowd favorite they also have Q&A during interviews thus you can see which one has a smart answer so I think it is not that hard to predict whose gonna win. As for sports, I agree it is easier to predict because you can base it on the statistics and also on the performance the team shown on the game so pretty much easy compared to pageants.

Lol, exactly my friend. People tend to like the "endowed", beautiful and humble girls (for marriage Ofcourse) where I live, and all of a sudden more people began to like the "skinny ones" probably due to exposure to other cultures in real life and tv/virtual world.
I actually like the skinny figure but I sometimes wonder if I got this preference because I was influenced by the world and not the natural preference I was born with?

I bet if most beauty pageants start preferring the "endowed ones" people will begin to like the endowed. It is such a strange world

I have not tried betting on a beauty contest. I really find it odd, even if we are talking of the Miss Universe. There are simply too many participants to be able to do some good analysis. And besides, we can hardly have enough idea as to the particular standards of beauty the judges have. After all, beauty contests are more subjective than objective. I mean everybody must be pretty and sexy for sure.

By the way, I find it funny how gambling can offer as weird as beauty contest betting. I've just also found out on another thread that there is such a thing as betting on politics. Gambling is pretty surprising.

You are right that these beauty contests are not fair and most of them are pre-decided of who will be the winner. There is lot of politics involved in it and I don't think anyone would like to bet on these competitions.

"Beauty" is very subjective. Even without the intrigue and manipulation, not everyone would be able to agree on the choice of winner. With sports you can rate the athletes based on their performance and be able to make a decent prediction on how the game would go.

The problem is that it is really subjective and unless you know the preference of the judges you will be at a disadvantage for betting. This event is too easy to rig compared to sport matches which would be really obvious.

I don’t believe there’s an existing site for beauty contest, in my years of gambling I have never heard of it and I am only reading it here for the first time but I will try and do more research on it but I want to believe is more popular in offline gambling centers.

I sincerely admit that this would be a beautiful gambling idea and I believe it will be very fair on the side of the players since the requirements for winning will be based on popularity and personality and it will now be on the side of the players to do their work and weigh who is more popular and who has a better personality. I will do anything to play on a beauty contest site if I see one because I am sure that will most definitely be favorable.

I myself will not try contests like this because I do not like and do not understand what aspects are judged by the jury. I'll bet on sports or dice, because that's all I understand. So in my opinion, don't bet on what you don't understand.

Like I said, I would still bet on a beauty contest. Yes, I know little about this industry, but many things depend on luck anyway. Like in sports betting, for instance, I don't follow cricket games and I'm far from being expert in the field, but I won several bets with high odds on cricket events already.

As far as I know, politics plays a big part in decision-making on beauty contests. It's not about how a woman looks, but rather about how she talks.

I feel you on this one. Every constestant is beautiful in their own way and all deserves to win the spot, so I also find it hard to decide. But, when faced in such situation, my resort is to bet on the candidate representing my country so I wouldn't have the hard time to bet on other candidates.

However, if I would bet on someone apart from the one from my country, I probably would consider someone who looks unique. I mean, someone who is beautiful but fiesty at the same time. If you know how to gamble in sports, for sure you will find that sportsbook also offers odds in the beauty contest, particularly the most prestigious one like the Ms. Universe. Even the Game of Thrones, there's betting on it, so it's not rate anymore as beauty contest has a lot of viewers also, sportsbook will not be tired of offering any beauty contest they think will attract bettors because they will never loss, they just live by the commission they earn.

This is the first time that this kind of betting is existing. I never really expected that gambling has extended it's arms to be even at a beauty contests, well as long as their is to bet why the hell not. This is kinda tricky if one does not know how pageants work or who to root for. These pageants may have some favorite beauties to win although for the most part, it still as random as it can get. Haven't tried this one and it's a new idea to me. First time seeing it. But for me, betting for the winner will most likely be biased, depending on what country you are. Of course, you would support your country's representative.

There are analysts where they monitor every candidate, from every country's pageant like Miss *insert country* up to pre pageant, until the coronation. There's a lot of factor in monitoring who would likely to win Miss U. Talent, popularity, attitude, and how they answer q and a.

About the 'games' you're pertaining, they could bet who would win such award; who would make it to the final 10 or 5 and etc.

IIRC onehash have this before on their special events tab. There's no unusual feeling and it's just the same like betting on NBA games. I'm not really following these kinds of pageant and just bet if ever I want to.

Well you can basically gamble on anything that produces results. And i don't think gambling in beauty contests aren't common at all. From international pageants like miss universe to local competition, people are putting out money in it. And the competitors are also being ranked weeks or months before the actual competition so you shouldn't have any problem narrowing down your selection if you'll place money on your bets. Usually the top contestants end up as the finalists.

Beauty gambling contests weren't that popular around. Most of the participants of these kind of contests were from the beauty industry particularly the models and other artists. They're the one who know better about valuating the scores of the contestants. It was fun watching the contest, everytime there used to be some incident at the time of revealing the final winners.

NEVER had a chance of betting for gambling in beauty pageants since this is not a normal in my area though I would be happy if I find someone who can bet with the criteria or part that can be considered per Bets are

I think betting on a beauty contest is not a real gambler betting but it can be a good one for relaxing after betting in our favourite events.In these competitions not always the most good looking woman is elected as Miss World for example as this is something relative,what is beauty for me may be not for you and thus it makes winning money on such event even harder.

I never really thought of betting on beauty pageants. I think it's a lot of work to get to know most of these contestants every year but if I were to do it one day, my major criteria for choosing would be Popularity and Wittiness.

I have not bet on one, but i have been involved in one as a contestant. From my little experience (as it was a contest within my locality). The most important thing is your carriage and personality.
Then your overall looks; height, face, outfit etcetera.
Then how much you can win the crowd over: your popularity. In a local competition most people might not really know you till that night. But in. A global one with different stages you can easily look up the contestants.

i have heard simillar betting on the past and they are rare to find because not all sites are being able to include them it may because of thier difficulty where less people do have the guts to bet on them .

there are many contestants and its verry hard to pick if who will be the winner because the judges can also have thier own choices . you cant just choose if who do you think are beautiful because sometimes the winners are not that really beautiful ( not to be harshed here )

the gambling should include top 5 or top 10 picks and so own , for a better chances of winning and to attract more bettors .

Me too, I haven't tried yet. Since I am a little bit curious, and I googled it, there are some websites offering it, just like nitrogensports which I also saw here.
I want to know some people who already tried to bet on these. And thanks crwth for your inputs, appreciated it.

Yeah, I already saw that thread of bbc.reporter, but it was only on Miss Universe 2018 and more likely discussion on that event/contest only.
I would love to hear some experience during gambling with these kinds of contests since I am curious how will be the feeling, especially the excitement or hype when you are looking forward to your bets.

If I were to consider betting in a contestant. The categories that I will definitely consider are looks, personality, and popularity.

Looks - this would be the first one to be considered, not that you should judge immediately what is "pleasing" to you but we all have a different type of look that we would like to see to someone. Browse all the contestant's photographs and determine.
Personality - if I had the time to really look into the contestants, I would check videos or background check on how they act normally, not because there is a camera pointed at them but how genuine they could be. Something like that.
Popularity - this is an important category because I know this would determine the people's votes? Or depends on the contest. I'm not really sure but this is an important factor too.
