This raises a lot of suspicion, What is the need announcing that you are back?

Your account just woke up for the first time since 8/9/2022 and last post made even farther in the past (January 2019). What have you been up to? and why will a "Hero member" not know that making a post about them being back is unnecessary and a spam. Sad

Welcome back mate but I think I've seen acquisitions on thread that people who just come from a long time of absence and make post like this have either changed account ownership but checking through your account, it seems you've participated  in some signature campaigns in the time past and just be focused on getting your account active and not spamming the board with this and I also suggest that your thread shoukd be moved to the reputation board so you can get your account verified by maybe signing some old wallets. Else I think you should focus on getting your account active with the useful informations you shared abeyance I went through your previous post and I enjoyed alot of your contents.
Hoping to see more good posts we you.

You guys are correct. I apologize for making the thread like i did. Last time i logged in was a few years ago, not sure if i even posted. Like I said in a previous post, when i first made my account, i had lost all data, password, even the email addy.  This account was made in 2012. Theymos did me a solid back in the day and combined a couple accounts to help with my hide my identity. Just like Silk Road, I probably made 10 accounts because I kept forgetting the damn password or something...

I have no ulterior motive. Just came back..

well, i join others to say welcome you back on the forum and I wish to inform you that you might be passing through some proceedings to assure the community that you are the real bigasic and I want to believe that you will be able to survive the hit, when it starts.

Not to fright you, about your statement in your first comment, don't dear go back to your slumber, there're more things in the system now and I wish we can learn some things from an experienced Bitcoiner like you and as you said that you are a Bitcoin maxi. welcome back @bigasic

Maybe he's just too excited to be back online with the community and he rather found it necessary to bring to the public domain about his sudden return which like you @Rruchi man I don't see a necessity.
Just in same vein we preach about keeping a low key and private about our coins as bitcoin holders it' should also extend with our in and out within the forum. Except for some obvious reasons.

It's nice to see some old forum members returning to bitcointalk. Undoubtedly, this is very cool, because old users are undoubtedly a storehouse of experience and knowledge, and if not Smiley, they can always tell wonderful stories about the old days and the dawn of the forum and bitcoin.

I have a couple of questions for you:

1. What prompted you to return to the forum after such a long break? If your last post was in January 2019, then a little more than 4 years have passed. Probably, during this period you have accumulated a curious experience that you are ready to share (If you come back here)?

2.
I cant believe how things have changed.. I remember my first bitcoin purchase with Jeb Mcaleb (sp?) on mt. gox before  Karpeles purchased it. It was pretty cool, email and paypal, thats how I bought my first btc, lol. then i mined the shit out of them for years..

Do you have a desire to make a small digression into the past and write a long post with a detailed story about the glorious old times (what do you think is the most interesting),  which many of us forum members have not seen?

And so, welcome back.

welcome back. After years away, you crawl back? While you were away, many of us expanded Bitcoin's strength and potential to heights you never imagined in 2011.

New visionaries and believers didn't disappear when things became tough, unlike some. This community perseveres, not nostalgically. However, you may be compensating. Bitcoin was young when you started, but now? Beast's momentum is unstoppable. I hope you're ready to ride.

OP, you should really be surprised at how much the forum has changed. How many suspicious people are around? Was there such a thing in your time? I will not be original, and I will advise you to move your topic to the reputation section. I think you know how to do it.
But in addition, expect requests such as signing a message from your Bitcoin wallet, which has been preserved in the history of the forum since 2014. Personally, I don't care, but I think that since there are so many who suspect you, such requests are possible.

And yes, you should not disappear again. We are interested in your opinion. Smiley

You have indeed really been an old member, for you to even receive a direct help from the admin. anyways good to have you back here, hoping to get lot of the mining, and bitcoin stuff  talk around from you as you are now among some of those who have lot of experience about it and have been in the system for decades.

You can just revisit the forum rules and guidelines as other's have suggested to see if their are areas which changes have been made that you need to adopt to especially on things like double commenting in a role within a period less down 24hrs, as it's now against the forum rules and could be considered as spamming a thread, i don't know how it was back then but it's part of the rules of the forum now.

Because Bitcoin has a good market even has a dynamic movement. Like today, even has a dump, but we are still here to discuss without caring about what happened to the price. I admit, the old bitcointalk members were stronger mentally than the new member. because they had more pressure from the beginning, the old member are often ridiculed and insulted because bring the new product to the public. I know how hard it is, and i salute some of them still here, and together to face the challenges from insane whales like Elon who play Bitcoin like a company that invests.

Also, for an old user of the forum, you ought to be aware that posting consecutive times counts as spam and should be avoided as, you could have cramped the posts in one. At the moment you don’t have a motive other than increasing activity for a just revamped account but, that’s not a justifier for what is being done (spam).
Exactly what I thought too, a high rank member should be aware that posting consecutively counts as spamming and spamming is not tolerated here. He could have just quoted all replies in a single post rather than flooding the thread. I advise him to go back to go back to the sticky threads to properly understand the forum rules so he doesn’t end up making a grave mistake that may cost him his account. Staying away for long and waking up now doesn’t always mean the account change hands but it is always suspicious though, some people can be very busy that they barely have time for themselves so it would be difficult to come online here.  He may have forgotten so much about the forum because of the long years of inactivity

Maybe this user achieved his high rank before the introduction of the merit system because his account shows he has never received or send out any merit before that’s why he doesn’t understand alot about the forum.

Also, this board feel like the best place to announce your awakening. It’s a bitcoin discussion board, reputation or even beginners & help of which, doesn’t seem best could have been okay than this.
Do not blame him, he has been away for long and everything i said above could be true that’s why he doesn’t understand anything about the forum. I see this account as a newbie even though his profile displays the hero rank, he may not be new to bitcoin but i will still see him as a newbie until he properly learns the ways of the forum.  Welcome back anyway, it’s always nice to see old members around.

Welcome back to the forum. It’s nice joining us back here. I'm sure the forum will look like a strange place to you. Lots of things have really changed in the forum. There is lots of development happening in the forum. Lots of local boards are being created. Since it has been a long time since you left here, am sure, there will have been changes in the forum rules and regulations, it would have been better if you glanced through them to see if there were any changes, so that you wouldn’t do anything that was going to affect your precious account. And I hope you are back to contribute positively to the forum. Since you are an old forum member, I am sure you will have enough experience.

I don't think it's necessary to post that you are back. I didn't even created a new thread to announce I am back after staying away from the forum for a year and months before being active in the forum again. Anyway, it's good to have you back and I don't care what reason it is when you decided to stop being active here in the forum kr staying away for a long time. When I was staying away from the forum before snd when I am active again in the forum, I didn't announce beint back and just post right away or in short, joining discussions and catching up on to what I miss during the time when I was away.

Welcome back to the forum mate. You can also read the forum rules again just to refresh your memory so you don't break the rules since it's obvious you have forgotten about alot of things here already, enjoy your stay now mate.

It's good you are back mate. I believe you are back here with a good, better and stronger perspective to add more to the forum as a high rank member you are but I was wondering if it was typo or something else that you mentioned 2011 but I am seeing 2012 on your profile. However, I will advise you edit it and make corrections there so as not to get people confused or possibly doubt your authenticity here.
Good to see an old member back onboard. I know you must have noticed some sort of changes in participants or possibly members here compared to years back when this platform was just starting. Nice to see you active again.

Welcome back to the forum but I don’t see any reason of you creating this topic here as a lot of members mentioned that there’s no need to do it in a bitcoin discussion section, but yeah I’m glad that you still remember your password and you never lost it since it’s such a pretty old account that’s made on 2012. I hope you’ll be active again and you won’t go for a sleep time again.

I would say it’s been more than a few years. Welcome back to the forum, your account is an old one. It’s nice to see an old member being active here. Though I don’t think this is the right board for this kind of message. Reputation board would be a better fit for this sort of topic. I’m curious, why now? It’s bearish season, it’s quite odd that you would remember your old bitcointalk account in such times.

It appears that you've returned during a bearish trend. Nevertheless, welcome back to the forum! Welcome back to the forum, but to be frank with you I don’t really see any use of this thread.

The only thing that this thread will lead to is your account becoming suspicious and because of that it will be investigated and if it turns out that you bought the account or the account was hacked you’ll be called out and eventually receive some neg-tags.

You should also take your time to check out how the forum has changed since you last time you came to the forum. A lot of developments has occurred in the crypto space so you should also try to get updated with the latest updates and continue with discussions here in the forum. I do hope your account is not a bought account.

Suspicions aside, we're glad you're back.

Lot of stuff changed drastically from the years you've been gone. The forum itself had a little paradigm shift every now and again. Bitcoin's still going pretty strong and has been steadily increasing in value since 2012, and a couple more. coincidentally though your logins coincided with the times that whales transferred large sums of bitcoin in between accounts, I'm not really sure if it's any cause for concern nor if it was you (which I doubt you would come forward if it was really you anyway but whatever) but I guess it's good to know.

Anywho, welcome back to the forum, take yourself to a little tour. It's still pretty much the same thing although new pioneers have come up who imparted awesome stuff to this site and to bitcoin as a whole. hope you'd stick around this time to share your own stuff with us, be it knowledge or stories!

people who are old here mostly have that much BTC.

Whether you have or not, I am not interested, hehe. And you do not need to say yes too. But welcome again here I hope you will find some interesting things that could engage you here.

Well that's not accurate and it's just assumptions, there are many people who hold lots of Bitcoin that has not even yet joined the forum or are just joining in on it.
The age of an account does not determine how much Bitcoin the account owners own, correct that mistake because some ideology can get you scammed.

You don't need to go back to slumber because of an observation. @Rruchi man is just concerned because of some challenges such as account hacks and sells. We want to be sure that you are the real owner of the account and what you are saying is true. I am happy that you are back in the forum because your positive contribution to the forum will be helpful to the community. Also if you think that the forum was helpful to you and you enjoyed the forum before you became inactive then just a simple observation should not make you leave. If you are passionate to learn and interact with like-minds, a little criticism shouldn't deter you. You are welcome back.

Yes, you are right.. But Rruchi is also correct.. I hate scammers, etc..  I have been a target of scammers and hackers since the end of Silk Road. If I can help one person, it will be worth it.. but yes, I CPU mined, GPU, FPGAs and as you can tell by my posts was one of the first to receive and mine with ASICs

If you need more verification that I am who i say i am, just let me know.. or dont, lol. I know who i am I am not here to sell or have any agenda. Thats not true, I do have an agenda.. To spread the word of bitcoin..

Wow! But yes, many things have changed not only in this forum but also with the market price of cryptos as we can see. If your comeback is concerning things in this forum then there's this new system of ranking up procedure which will require you a particular number of merits. Also with projects, mostly are signature campaigns and only a few are succeeding in this industry. It is in between being good and not. As others have mentioned, most of us would be curious of your token holdings especially for being an early investor. But one thing is assured; this industry is still growing in line with what we are believing when it comes at being one. If you are planning to cope up with this industry's progress  then it will never be too late to do so.

Im a hard bitcoiner now. Damn near a maxi now...no, Ill say it, Im a bitcoin maxi,. Sure, Ive been into a lot shit coins, worked for wagerr, and Beaxy.. so, Bitcoin has been pretty good for me over he last decade or so...

I just learned that if you trade or buy anything but bitcoin, youll only get burned in the end. I was in the ETH ICO and Tezos ico, list goes on..bitcoin will always be king. there is no second best. Took me too long to figure that out..

Thanks

Welcome back to the land of the living, lol. Yeah, Bitcoin has come a long way but nothing really has changed much, price still as volatile as ever. The forum has more new faces which indicates growth and I hope to see more input from you. Hello, and welcome back! We are delighted you returned to the Bitcointalk forum; surprisingly, you have been away from the forum for a long time, but you remember your log-in information correctly. According to your post history from 2019, you have not been very active in the forum, with less than five postings in 2020.

Now that you're back, I hope you've gotten back into the flow of things on the forum, because I believe you still remember the forum's rules and regulations. Welcome back once more.

Sad

Ive stayed away for the last few years, but im back.. I see a lot of old but wow, so many new faces...Bitcoin sure has come along way since I opened my first account here in early 2011..

It's good to have you back here, and it's good you didn't lose access to the account and can still remember your login details. I guess the forum is still the same as always, just with new faces, and nothing much has changed. 2019 is not that far away.
It's good to have some old forum members back and I hope to see you around again.

For the record; Your account creation date is showing 2012 and not 2011 😏

But I don't think this topic is best suited for Bitcoin discussion. Maybe reputation or some other board that permits self-introduction, and all of that can be done.
