most of them came from a totally different movie website i ran for a couple of years but was getting copyright problems with non stop.

since i started the begging thing its gone up by a good few hundred, its just one of these things on twitter where followers attract followers.  the retweets help, i nevef post anything on there myaelf and im getting a few dozen notifications of retweet/favs a week, all the spammy news articles are posted automatically.

I apologise for having a job and not replying earlier.

Nothing in PM so will restart the auction RIGHT NOW.

No need to get stressed out over a pointless auction folks, nobody is getting killed or scammed.

Starting the bidding at 4mbtc?

Auction to end Thursday 12th of June @ 18:00 GMT

Issue is not with you, the issue is that people have been abusing the auction section for a while and its getting a bit irritating.

Il bid 4mBTC

Bit late to join in I think the auction is over so the only fair thing to do now is to either award the highest bidder that is willing to pay or start a new auction altogether

The winning bidder still hasn't replied to me.

We'll give it a go by the weekend if they don't.

Where was the reserve price stated? Wouldn't 4mbtc be the next winning bid? Or are you creating another auction?

I think the OP is going to try and relist this weekend. Normally auctions take the 2nd highest bid but in bitcoinland auctions tend to work differently  Wink

I for one am neg trusting user for fake bidding

I'd do the same but unless he's active in other threads there's no reason to actually suggest he is avoiding the auction.. Who knows what has happened

It was a pain this morning trying to find my wordpress password, I actually did something to the website for the first time in 6 months in changing the image at the top.

So I've tracked down all my passwords for the @begcoin.com emails, wordpress, bluehost, reddit and twitter.  Done a bit of reading as well about transferring things from one person to another, seems easy enough.

Think I'm about ready to let the mbtc's roll in.

That's weird you'd pay that much.
That's at least more than $100 as of now, when the bid is at less than a dollar, or a little higher?

I only started this site as a joke, with all the begging and scamming going on in the bitcoin community.  I really wanted to start a charity fundraising site where people could post up their own good causes but only came round to doing something about it after the crash before Christmas, so gave up on that idea quickly, nobody was feeling generous.

Surely the intention alone is worth 100 Sat's?

Quite seriously though, who among you knows whats involved with transferring ownership of a website + related accounts?

Twitters easy, I just need to give you a password, but what about hosting and domain registrations?

Selling begcoin.com, I havent touched it in months.

atm not many people are begging on there but the news section is seeing traffic from twitter.

Also for sale is the twitter account with about 4,400 followers and regular retweets from reddit bitcoin aswell as others.  One post last week was retweeted by reddit Australia and 3 others to over 100,000 people, all being linked back to the article on begcoin.com

The site itself is hosted with bluehost, I did all the work on it so it might feel like a real mess to a pro lol

I've no idea how any of this works, anyone want to start the bidding with 0.00000001 BTC?

Auction ends Monday @18.00 GMT
