Merit doesn't rely on pleading to get it. I think you are wasting your time. You should earn Merit by helping others or publishing healthy articles!

If you have any kind of pride you will never do such things, you can live here without it.
On the other hand, you can analyze the articles that brought people merit and write/copy from the Internet your own.

If this would work, would you really want to see hundreds of topics like that everyday? People begging for merit?
It would make merit system not worth the time, better would be to delete it then.

Let me a use a crystal ball and lets see how will be your future here in Bitcointalk.

I see that you are a one liner shitposter and you doesn't contribute in the forum therefore, you are not eligible in getting any merits. Not even one merit will be given to you stupid shitposter. Don't beg for merit here. Its better if you leave here than to beg or get a job stupid.

Try to beg here and you will see your future Smiley.

There are other ways you'll earn a merit and begging might be enough, but so you know people don't like beggars call this forum inhumane in a sense but this forum is professional I guess no real life beggars are in here at it has 0% at all.

Some ways are to help others, give some insightful information, give a solution, and other things that might help this forum not to be dead.

Begging won't be of much help for you in this case, because Merits are for quality posters, but not for one-liner, post-to-earn mentality bounty hunters who have no knowledge other than to hunt airdrops or bounties every single day.
For you, there is no way to get Merits, unless you stop being what you are right now, and start learning a few things that might help you build up some good posts which might earn you a Merit or two. Otherwise, don't even waste your time begging for them.

The fact that you have to ask the question, shows that you have not been reading the stickies and the related topics.

I'll finish off my guide for posting in the Bitcoin Talk forum, and I'll post the link on this board. I looked through your history, and there are one or two things that may discourage merit awarders.

Yes it is, its like you're begging for them to like your post which is inappropriate. As far as i read this forum is for us to learn and for us to share ours. Merit is just another factor, it's just a bonus. If they acknowledged you for your knowledge then there it is they'll give you merit but if it is not, just continue to have a good post with the intention of sharing of course not just because you have to then time will come someone will give you merits.

Don't beg merit. This is the last what you can do.

My advice. Make smth useful.

For example, make a poll among your friends (+ family, work colleagues) about what they think of bitcoin.

Then publish your results here.

It is discouraged to beg for merits.

You can do it  Wink.  Just believe and yourself and accumulate knowledge as much as you can.  Sooner or later you gain merits because of your hard work.

No, it is not prohibited but it is not advisable! You can't make 10 Merits to be the Member by begging, you have to earn it. Though it is very tough to make Merits but it is possible! So, don't lose your hope. Keep trying like me to get merit, read as much as you can, help the community, explore the new idea. You will gain merits for sure. Best of Luck

That's nice, good job you find a way to get merits you have a good mindset that will lead you through a great future, you chose to follow the yellow road, Dorothy you get some merits but you lose your dignity and pride great, you chose the easy way because you can't do the hard way if you post some useful kinds of stuff and help other members here you can earn some merits smh well let's see if you get merit from that.

You should not practice yourself begging merits. You should know how to earn it on your own. You just need to be active always and make your reply helpful to a lot of people. Make it sensible so a lot of people can be caught by your attention. I would suggest you to don't focus on getting a merit because you can get it by just being active. Always do your own research and god bless you.

Begging merits (and anything else, in general) is not only a bad practice, but also waste of time. Hardly ever somebody will be so stupid to give you any for that. This is not a place for charity. People get merits for their efforts, time and experience shared with the community, and asking rewards for nothing is, at least, disrespectful. Become and stay useful to deserve merit. Make an effort, spend your own time, and help others.

i think begging merits is not right, merit is for the people who have earned them, like helping, assisting or giving advice for some people who or somewhat need it. so if you want to have merits, work for them, they will not give you instant merits

You won't get merits if you don't deserve it. Simple. Be constructive and try to be helpful, there are also some sections in the forum that are overflooded with bots, it's better not to post there. If you are here for the merits, then I'm afraid you signed up for the wrong reasons.

i don't know if it's prohibited, but it's not a good look for anyone.

here's a tip - hang out in the places where the people with the most merit are. that's the serious discussion/ ivory tower section and the meta section. that's where the senior people who care most about the forum hang out and they're more inclined to hand out merit to posts that respect it.

you still won't get anything if you post crap.

from looking at your posts it's mainly a couple of empty sentences that don't tell anyone anything new, or yet another list of bounty stuff. why would anyone merit that?

Great advice! I’ll check out those areas.

Beggin merits isn't allowed, you don't have to beg in life to get things, you need to offer quality. Make a good post quality and get merits, make good jobs quality and get bitcoins. That's how life work, begging you only will get to nowhere, so, you can start searching some nice bitcoin related articles online and bring them to discussion on the forum. But i'm not talking about copy paste, i'm talking about a real talk. If you find something interesting share it with us, share your point of view and listen to other people point of views. This way you will learn a lot about btc while grow up in the community.

It's crazy to see how merits are there to reward quality content written, and people make it an objective to get merit instead of focusing on learning and actually contributing with meaningful info.

I understand the lack of merits can block you from growing your status, but again, you shouldn't make that your goal either, at least that is not what the platform was created for in the first place.

Good luck!

Merit system is something that is to be earned not begged.  I myself having 0 "zero" merits, it maybe my posts are not interesting to people to give merits.  So just refrain from seeking merits, involve in community and learn.  Once you are good enough to earn merits, you will get them eventually.

Being active wouldn't earn you a merit be somewhat useful and helpful in the forum like reporting spams etc. that are not consider valuables for forum. Check the guidelines here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657

There are other ways to earn merits you just have to discover it on your own.

Begging for merit is not prohibited, but most members who actively give out merit hate begging for merit, they put you to their ignore list for this.
1. Stop post, ask about merit
2. Keep merit out your your mind
3. Post useful and meaningful things in a natural way ( not for merit post).

No, it's not prohibited but i would imagine it would just get annoying over time and the senior members will just add you to their ignore list which would actually hurt your chances of getting merit down the road. I do understand where you're coming from though but the best chances of earning merit would be to contribute to the community by helping other members or sharing your experience or knowledge on a certain topic and just hope someone will recognize your efforts.

If it would be that easy, everyone would make topics like that because why lift your hand even to write/do something? If they could get merit for free with begging.
That won't work, create some ICO summary, rate it, describe it, this is only example but people do that stuff and gets tons of merit.

This is another issue you have to think about, opening a thread and leave it unattended later it becomes a Spammy Megathread and guess what, you are on top of it, so just find in the bottom left corner the "Lock" link and click it Smiley

If you feel that is the only way, the you won't see yourself going the extra mile in earning it the right way. Don't also forget that begging for merit is frown at by the forum because it amounts to insult on those who are trying assiduously to churn out quality content to the benefit of the forum participants.

For you to have zero merits showed that you are surely not doing something right. A simple look at your previous posts showed that even you won't give yourself merit for those posts you have made if you want to be fair and you don't expect anyone to do that for you. Start turning out quality and someone will start noticing.

If you want to rank up as soon as possible, please forget that thought. You just need to focus on learning now. The two main things you can do here are to learn and to share.

Begging for merit is not an offense but you lose respect when keep doing that on the forum. It tells clearly that you are only here for bounty activities and nothing more to contribute to the forum. I advise you desist from that
well that does seem to be the primary pull factor to the forum lately, I can only admit it's the case for me initially but after spending some time here I realised it's a goldmine of information in general, but I do wonder how the forum was back before all the ICO-bounties came around  Grin

Judging by the way you posts one liners and generic answers there is no wonder why you are not receiving any merits naturally at all, merits is not awarded to common answers found in the forum and there is no way you will have it naturally if you will keep posting the same kind of quality you are having now. Also begging is not an option as this is one of the fastest way you will be tagged for merit abuse as merits is also not earned that way. Remember just to improve the quality of your post and actually read other posts in order for you to learn and contribute new found knowledge.

This forum is all about seeking the knowledge regarding Bitcoin and crypto industry and the only motive to introduce merit system is to remunerate the quality content creators in some form and it doesn't make any sense to beg for the respect. It is something that one should earn with the efforts expected for it instead of going with any other way.

Why? Are you saying that you are incapable of reading to get knowledge and contributing or helping people in the forum? Stop being lazy. You're on the internet, study material is one of the things that can't be lacking.

Begging isn't against the rules, but by begging you will either get a negative trust or get into someone's ignore list (probably both).
