Apologies if this is covered in some other thread or if I should have posted somewhere else, but I'm a total newbie. I bought several (not that many) bitcoin in January 2014. I have them in 2 multibit wallets. Firstly, would it be better to put each one in a separate wallet in case the passwords get 'brute forced' I believe is the correct term.

Secondly, I have made wallet backups & printed off my private keys. I have read that private keys normally consist of 51 characters & start with the number 5. However, these backup private keys are encrypted; when printed out they consist of over 100 characters & don't start with the number 5. If my computer was stolen & all I had left was the printout, would I be able to access my bitcoin again using that alone? And if that is the case, would it be advisable to 'delete/uninstall' (or whatever the correct term is) the multibit wallet & only have this paper copy?
