WAtch out for Ultra coin,.. didn't do my research and tried to install qt to phone... asked to install Ministro II and it downloaded all my information from phone... I'm preparing for an unslaught of cyber hacking. FUCK MY LIFE

So what happened? What do you loss? You mean your information was engraved in your phone? What sort of information is that? Ministro II, if it's a harmful app will probably removed by Google but still it's not and honestly widely being used at some cases.

So what exactly do you loss on the way?

I don't get it either, there's no loss right?
Op said; didn't do my research. What this is mean? But install Ministro II. If you have huge amount of bitcoin, better to keep it in offline wallet. And do not keep private information, but seems impossible as our daily life always around mobile phone.

Just stay calm and close your phone. Every once in a while. You were right. You were hacked.

That is why it is always a good thing to scan the files for virus and malware before downloading it to your personal devices, downloading files only from trusted source is another way to protect your devices from hackers, and never ever click on the link sent to your email address that looks suspicious requiring you to do a password change for the sites you are registered with.

I feel sorry for you, and thank you for the warning.
In my opinion the best thing to do is to have separate wallet or phone or computer that you will use if you are unsure of stuff. Then we have to make our due diligence on safe guarding our wallet. Earning bitcoin is hard and we do not want our hard earned money to be reduced to nothing.
Before installing programs just do a research first and if your research does not lead you to the right answer or it leads you to stuff stating the obvious then dont just install it or never ever install it, avoid it. In these days people will do everything just to gain bitcoins faster. My advice is avoid these kinds or program or site. It will only lead you to destruction. Success takes time, earning bitcoin or other coins will take a long time. We all have to go through that. Again thank you for warning us about this threat. It is really unfortunate that it happened.

This is bad, very bad. Thanks for the tip. What I would suggest is you change your passwords and immediately take your coins into a paper wallet using other computer or phone. Leave nothing to chance, monitor your mails and if possible don't use net. Wherever possible deactivate your accounts, and don't keep any coin out in the open, paper wallet and electrum is my best suggestion to you. Also run a Anti-Malware scan, if you don't have, download a good one from the net. I feel you should install anti virus system and pray for the best.

Something that I've learned over the span of my now dilated career as a crypto investor is to think that, by default, ALL altcoins are a scam and are potential malware trying to steal your bitcoins.

If you really want to gamble in the altcoin market and you need to install wallets, you should get a virtual machine, or ideally a dedicated laptop, and use an isolation friendly OS like Tails, that way, you can install all sort of crap and don't worry that your information will be stolen.

Do NOT store anything of value in your phone, this is also basic.

Sometimes if you installed some random application, ads will pop up out of nowhere and it will display some message saying that you need to install this application in order for it to work. You need to be careful for installing such apps as some of them will spread malware and adware unto your phone installing virus application without your permission to install it. it happened to my phone and by my experience do not save passwords to browsers they are vulnerable for hacking.

This is exactly why I don't trust any wallets on my phone. Call me old fashioned, but I will always stick to desktop wallets.
Not that I just randomly install apps on my phone, but I've always thought that Android wasn't as secure as pc operating systems.

Or am I really misguided on this?

that is why i'm anxious about installing something from the dev team even their wallets because we never know what they put on that program aside form it being a wallet. lesson learned indeed. its better to just use some exchange wallet than installing unless the team is reputable enough and don't used megaupload for their wallets.

Well you shouldn't install 3rd party apps without searching reviews about it !
What you can do, is delete your info from that app, if allowed, format your phone and change your passwords that were stored in your mobile as saved passwords, or even cookie !

That's unfortunate, but thanks for giving us this warning, better get a good technician to save whatever important information that needs to be safe, I will do a check on that coin, people with good trust rating should give the dev a bad rating for this.

Then took a hold of all of your accounts then change password immediately and used 2FA if possible. That is the best preparation for an onslaught as you are referring to. Its really our turn to safeguard all of our accounts and information and what the above posters have said, do a research first. You should learn your lessons in a hard way mate. Goodluck and hope that nothing will happen to your wallet and whatever information they got from you.
