yeah good idea, I will ask support to remove pin from India team, so any one can join. Meanwhile I mined first ASIC 3 btc.

That is very cool. Not trying solo?

solo with 20ghs des not make sense, I was bidding for 10 more blades today, but seems lost.

Let math take the backseat for a week. Go solo, maybe you'll get a block or two, and buy into a Erupter blade auction.
Worst case, a weeks revenue lost, and no eruptor blades.

I invested 2 weeks to solo mine with approx 2 GHZ's few months back. Moved back to pool as solo is very scary to deal with.

Found 1 block, so I can imagine that it would be similar with 20 GHZ's now.

maths is simple I was mining for 3 days and did not found any blocks, but I got paid 3.5 btc. ASICminer itself mining on btcguild with 8,739.60 GH/s hash power.

I bid in yestarday auction for 10 blades and lost during last minutes madness. my 49 btc per blade was no enough to win anyway.waiting for next auctions now.

Read somewhere that there are approx 2000 bitcoiners in india

wow that is a lot. I think we can try to make Indian mining pool, perhaps we can catch up with Chinese miners who are  making over 3 million usd in mining revenues per month.

I would assume that is 2K enthusiasts.. May be under 100 miners in India.

Waiting for BFL to ship, then would be glad to move to BTC Guild.

Government authorities cannot track payments in the Bitcoin system.
bitcoins are IP based network, if they want they can track it very well. misleading statement.

nice info about all those frauds, illegal activities  and money laundering out there. great way to promote bitcoins. that is what people will remember after ready whole thing.

Anonymity WILL be fully used by any individual who does not want to disclose income. Governments will only be able to trace non-pseudo-anonymous transactions.
You should read the rest, there was more information in that article than just the 'Dark Side' for people to take away.

it is same to say, authorities cannot track anyone on Internet, it is false misleading  information.

I read all article and I dont like it at all, it sending negative message to Indian business community, without explaining one simple question - How Indian business can benefit from Bitcoins.

This was one of the articles published by Bitcoin and the reporter was not keen on covering the business sphere.
There are future articles planned to cover the business side as well.

Critics are always good though. Not everyone needs to like an article. Smiley

Just to let you know that the 'Normal internet' you use is not even 1% of the Internet as we know it.
99% of the internet is untraceable .. Go do a li'l research on the HWIKI lemme know if you can find ANY information about ANY of the website's owners listed there - even with the MOST ADVANCED method of tracing on the planet.

you mean Benson Samuel? lol.  Bangalore-based Bitcoin evangelist, says those who use the digital currency are honest taxpayers

Well, when I was helping setup Indiabitcoin.com, the biggest challenge that we had was to convince people to use Bitcoin as it is.

About 8-10 + businesses said that they will not move ahead with BTC without proper auth and tax paying capabilities.

If the Indian government defines some better outlines for Bitcoin, I am sure that taxation will fall into place.
Currently, I am aware that BTC - BTC is an untaxable/ unregulated affair.
Converting to FIAT is where there are questions raised and that income has to be declared.
