you know that binance is a centralized exchange and bep-20 token or binance smart chain is mainly those tokens are created in bnb network, as like erc-20 token means ethereum network based tokens, you can sell bep-20 coins in dex's and cex's, if i don't know which token you holding so you check on coinmarketcap, your token is listed in which exchange.

BEP-20 is a token standard on the Binance network that's compatible with EVM, just like Ethereum with its ERC-20. How it works? it's the same as the token standards that exist on mainstream networks that support EVM, nothing different there. For tokens that have received a lot of attention & MC, maybe you can sell them on large CEXs such as Binance, MEXC, Gate.io or KuCoin. But if not, you can still sell them on a DEX, and the closest DEX to the BEP-20 token standard is PancakeSwap.
its just the binance version of the ERC20 and thats it its token that comply with the standard protocol of BEP20 since the blockchain is different I suppose they like to make their own standard name so thats it.
to sell the token usually if you use for example a metamask you should import the token contract first which you can find usually in CMC and add the token contract to the token section of metamask and then your wallet can detect the amount of token in your posession and then you can interact with it.
remember though to not add scam token contract otherwise your wallet might be drained since their contract usually contain malicious codes.
always use source from CMC which kinda been verified if im not mistaken, you should check it out first.

The bep-20 is the native blockchain of bnb which is a copy / an altcoin similar to eth, the easiest way to sell tokens on this blockchain is to open an account on the binance exchange or through their official smartphone wallet trust wallet or use a defi platform like pancakeswap

An introduction to Binance Smart Chain BSC.
BEP-20 is a token standard on Binance Smart Chain BSC and they are copies of Ethereum products.
On Ethereum blockchain, it has ERC-20 token standard. You can see similarities here.
On BSC, you need its native currency, BNB to pay transaction fee in gas price for any BNB transactions or any BEP-20 token transactions.

If you see the token that starts with your contact add (0×) then you must understand that it is Bep-20 token. This token will cost BNB to transact and must be in your wallet. So you must know the details about whether this token is listed on the Telegram exchange of the web platform from where you got it.
BEP-20 token is a token that run in Binance Smart Chain network, the address start with 0x... and you need to have Binance Coin to send BEP-20 token.
To sell BEP-20 token, check the token in Coinmarketcap, click market, to see which exchanges accept the token. If the token is new, you better off asking to their social medias, the token might only listed in swap exchange due to small volume.
