i prefer btc-e but a fewer choice.
Coins-e is good and fast.
Cryptsy can be reliable if you can wait on some hours to trade (atleast 24 hours before your deposits show on  your account)

BTC-e hands down for me. No contest there. It's reliable and works. Fewer coins, but large markets & reliability make it a stellar choice.

Cryptsy would be good if it worked, but it's useless for anything except total gambling on alt coins that aren't at BTC-e.

Too often at Cryptsy I have orders in that should get picked up and never do. This makes it impossible to use Cryptsy reliably, which is important if you want to make money or at least not lose money. One of my recent bids was for DOGE. There were 3 sell-offs that went below my bid and each time my bid got passed over.

I do like the massive number of alts at Cryptsy though. I just can't put more than a small amount in there and be comfortable.

If Cryptsy had the reliability of BTC-e, it would be my winning pick. Sadly, not yet.

I have yet to try Vicurex, but will be creating an account there soon.

Coinedup is unusable for me. It appears they're mixing HTTP in with HTTPS and charts won't appear except in Safari on my Mac where it ignores security settings that other browsers use. Other people have better luck.

Haven't tried Bter.

Bter

NOT Bter. NOT until they allow withdrawals again. Currently it's not working.

I personally preferred coinex.pw but they've been doing some maintenance for a few days now, they did tweet saying they expect to be back online on Monday though. Since then I have been trading on btc-e with no problems at all, might even continue using btc-e after coinex returns.. we'll see.

It's the best I think. Most people trade there and it has the most listed coins.

hey i know there has been a lot of talk about the different alt currency exchange sites and their security and other issues, i wanted to know what everyone felt was the best site?  BTC-E has been pretty legit, never tried to deposit but have traded there, but they don't have all the currencies
