Bitcoin is for slow growth and heavy investments. Litecoin, maybe - who know?
DOGE coin is going very viral and its just been 9 days, so there is still oppurtunity.

I mine DOGE coin, but I can't imagine it having much of a future after the hype dies out.

The media exposure of Dogecoin seems to be huge. For me it was the thing that made me actually download a coin wallet client and a mining program and see how they work. Maybe I'll even buy ~10$ worth of dogecoin and hope for their value to go up. If it won't, having thousands of dogecoins has some novelty value.

Are you part of the doge clan sent around to promote dogecoin?

Not that I know.

Doge coin seems to me as only a hype coin created by early investors to profit from others. Just my opinion

Besides LTC which is really popular in China (but who knows what is going to happen there with that regulation shit now). I trust NMC for additional feature of decentralized DNS system + possible fontas pump on btc-e + possible MT.gox introduction.

Whats the best alternate crypto currency to invest in now?

Mine some altcoins with your GPU instead. The more you invest the more you likely loose.

Definitely Bitcoin.

Litecoin is a bit overpriced right now. Wait till it goes to about 0.01 or 0.02 BTC.

Quarkcoin is an interesting altcoin. I see a very bright future for it.

I think there is future for crypto currencies beyond 2015.

But I am not sure which one of the existing ones would prevail.
tough call.

Tough to say.
Tanatos is right, however the established names are bitconin and litecoin. At leaser established for now.

However I have more faith in altcoins then others.

Depends on the amount of money you have to invest and to try and pump the price before you dump all of your coins.
Because on the long run , I doubt most of the current alts will make it to 2015

whichever one can be quickly hyped, pumped and later...by design...dumped

like stock market, just with even less oversight and regulations and more "insider exchanges"
