If you do good research and check the market on a daily basis you will notice yourself how coins react, and maybe see some patterns in the market graphs. Some that go down or up more often than others.

That's for sure. You need to invest based on your beliefs, not someone`s else. Even because if you don't REALLY trust the team/technology, the stronger will be the temptation to leave in a bad moment (sell it in the bottom or leaving too fast when you could make bigger profits).

There have been a few in the past, but the most recent prediction was that of Billionaire investor Mike Novogratz who predicted that Bitcoin will go to $10K when Bitcoin was somewhere around $7-8K.

Prognosticators are the ones that predict the future of something, no one actually knows the future.
Everyone's idea and predictions are based on theory and statistics. If an investor predicts that Bitcoin or Altcoins will go up or down, its just a prediction.
Now having said that, some investors that are also known as whales, can manipulate the market so if you know one, then that's who you follow.
Maybe even from this forum...
