ETH is the most interesting, as you say. The new company with ERC20 type blockchain has been steadily increasing in recent months. this coin should be in the top list besides BTC.
Based on news you can see ETH is most popular coin after bitcoin and reason is this, it is based on Blockchain technology Smart contract with ERC based token support. we can observe how many ICOs are running on aside which is totally based on Ethereum blockchain technology under smart contract tech

I would add to this list Waves, for this coin, a lot of different news, including large. This is a constantly evolving project and I believe that he will boom in the near future.
Very good post idea - a bit more reliable material for decision making. It would be even nicer if the sources of these news were exposed.
