Hello,

Any recommendations on a good Android App used to monitor Crypto Price on my Mobile? I've ran through Google Play many times with no luck. Many of the Apps are lacking in some features, one way or another.

I'm looking for an App that:

  • Supports BTC and ETH (More Alt coins would be good too)
  • Realistic Crypto Price
  • Supports USD and SGD currency
  • Intuitive graphs that shows real time updates (best if able to zoom into detail)
  • Working alerts - Sound and Notification (most apps I came across can't have this working properly)
  • Preferably a widget for my home screen.

Thanks

Blockfolio, is what I Monitor, (android app)

I personally use 2 apps. Blockfolio(Investment and price tracker) and Crypto Widgets(Price widget). The only feature this combination is missing is real-time price graph updates. I suggest taking a look at them. Links below.

The widgets looks like this if you're wondering:

Blockfolio Bitcoin/Altcoin App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blockfolio.blockfolio&hl=en
Crypto Widgets: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.altherat.cryptowidgets&hl=en
Just a quick question: What's with the different exchange such as Bitstamp, Bittrex, Coinbase, GDAX etc.? As I'm using Coinbase to buy/sell so I chose Coinbase's exchange, however which of the exchange gives the market price? I suppose CoinMarketCap offers the market price of the coins (correct me if I'm wrong), but I don't see CoinMarketCap as an exchange. Am I missing something?

Regards

All of these exchanges gives the market price. The prices on these exchanges differ because each exchanges have different buy and sell offers from their users; usually the price difference is only small though.

Coinmarketcap get's its prices by taking the average of ALL the exchanges. Lets take bitcoin for instance. Click on the "markets" tab of bitcoin on coinmarketcap. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets   You can see almost all the exchanges there that trade bitcoin. Coinmarketcap takes the average of all of those.

Thank you very much, this is very insightful. This explains why sometimes an exchange can have a cheaper buying price than what CoinMarketCap listed.

By using Android system, I think Blockfolio is the best choice of ease of use and good enough feature. Thought many have encounter updating the price and chart date a few days ago when the BTC start to rise like crazy. I think the traffic for most of the system is heavy and it is not a blame.
I am still using it. It is the best up to now.

"Crypto Widgets" looks good, however the exchange to SGD still differs a little from CoinBase. I supposed this is due to different exchange rate, not much of an issue then.

Blockfolio looks promising, however sadly the graph is in "candle" form and I prefer it to be line form. The graph does not update itself real-time and unable to zoom in.

I think the blockfolio is good, I have apilkasinya but I have never used to monitor the price of crypto, because in my opinion it is not comfortable. yes I admit it is easy and simple with android. easy to carry wherever you go. but I would prefer if my laptop takes it to every place, to monitor the price of crypto, and to me it's convenient.

Blockfolio i guess, You'll be able to glance quickly at your cryptocurrency investments. You can also have it send you notifications when prices reach a specified threshold. It tracks over 800 currencies right now and you can get details about each one. There is also a news section if you're interested in keeping up with what's new in the industry.
