Look for DEll its very good brand.

Well, things are quite simple, and not just about computers. You have to make your choice beetween these:

• quality
• performance / features
• price

You cannot have everything, you must sacrify one of those. Or buy something from second hand, if you don't mind.

I see that but everything good wear its price.

Well, I am not sure by actual offer - didn't buy Lenovo for a long time. But what can I see on wikipedia, I would avoid to ThinkPad E and Yoga stuff. As I wrote before, class T and X are premium laptop class. Class P is oriented for maximum performance and class L is midclass. Avoid any Lenovo non-ThinkPads!

Alienware is manufactured by Dell. This class of products is designed for gaming, thus a little bit fancy and (of course) expensive.

I cheked them but they are very expensive.

Alienware PC are better like dell, Lenovo and the likes

What should i avoid?

Careful about Thinkpads - there are not like used to be. Maybe some T or X class, but there are lowend Thinkpads too. Lenovo change the image of IBM's bullet proof laptops to casual consumer grade.

My long time fav are Thinkpads.
I'm one of the proverbial Road Warriors (Field service engineer) and can attest that they work for decades despite constant heavy and not often kind usage. I still have a couple from 1993-1997 when they were still under the IBM brand - but actually made for IBM by Lenovo - aside from being slow (1 is 486M, another is Pentium-M cpu) and the backlights getting dim, they still work perfectly. All ThinkPads are highly dust and water resistant with built-in gutters to drain away spills out the bottom. Never had any issues with hinges going bad nor cracked cases both of which are something very common with other makes.

Very nice thing is that Thinkpads can be easily repaired if ever needed. Lenovo carried on the IBM traditions of assembling them with screws vs 'snap & crack' housing latches, providing actual repair manuals and of course parts lists. Currently using a ThinkPad P15 workstation w/gen 10 i7, 16gb memory & NVIDIA® Quadro RTX graphics. That replaced my T410 circa 2010 which still works perfectly, is just slow because of the i3 CPU and only 4gb of memory.

FYI: When IBM exited the small PC market starting in 2004 there was a massive outcry from users regarding the fate of the near-bulletproof ThinkPads. Lenovo paid attention to that and on May 1, 2005 paid IBM a very tidy sum of money to buy all rights to the ThinkPad brand name along with all other IBM PC's and continue production of this top-end gear. Ja ThinkPads are pricey but well worth it.

As for the other Lenovo laptops - meh. Still very well built for being 'Consumer grade' but they ain't ThinkPads...

Wich models from HP is good?

I have used both laptops, and to tell you the truth I find the Windows laptop much more easy to use than the MAC.

Truth be said Mac and windows are both good product with great advantages and features. So what ever product, depending on what you want it for, any of the brand would serve you right. But if you are looking for a high quality security I would recommend Apple product.

Well, I think it is OK to estimate your needs for the (near) future. But remember that (lets say) CPU which is considered as highend today, will be considered as slow power-consuming shit tommorow. Computer hardware is really really fast progressive. You need to consider other aspects in the case of laptop, at least: power consuption (battery runtime), size and weight of machine.

You told that you prefer Mac. Why? Just UX, or are you using some apps on it? Maybe these applications do not have alternatives on Windows or maybe file formats produced by that applications can't be opened on alternatives correctly. So first question to answer is: are you free to switch beetween OSes and apps?

Is it performance your only criteria? Why laptop then? Desktop is much more versatile, more powerfull and cheaper option. So this is second question to answer. If there are other criteria, please, let us know about it. We need to know to help you. If you do not know much about computers and cannot named your criteria, that's fine. Just let's talk about your regular computer usage.

• What do you use your computer for?
• What kind of applications are you using?
• Are you working at one place or you need to take-away? How often?

I want to buy the better option because in future when i need performance i will have it.

I have to add one more observation, because IMHO lots of people who recommend some manufacturer are wrong. Lots of manufacturers have different classes of products divided based on quality, price, features etc.

Lets take Dell as an example. This manufacturer has some classes for home users (low cost Inspiron, high end XPS, Alienware for gaming, etc). Other classes are addressed for business customers (low cost Vostro for small office, high end Latitude, high performance Precision, etc).

We have similarities in other manufacturers. HP's Pavilion and Envy for home customers and it's ProBook and EliteBook for business. Lenovo's IdeaPad and low cost ThinkPads for home users and highend ThinkPads "X" and "T" series for business. I do not have much experience with other manufacturers, but I am sure it will be the same.

If you choose some high end computer from whatever manufacturer, I am sure that you can be satisfated. Personally I don't like HP much, but I saw perfect EliteBooks I cannot say anything bad about it. Lenovo the same. So when I want to buy laptop I do not looking for some specific manufacturer only - I am choosing from offer of high end laptops from various manufacturers and choose some with fits my needs.

This was my problem weeks ago until I've decided to buy an entry laptop a few days ago from Dell. A Dell Vostro version. I've thought of buying a macbook but there are a lot of apps that might not be compatible with what I use.

The laptop that you'll buy depends on what you're going to use and the specs that it has. I've decided to take Dell because it's known for its reliability.

My choices before I've taken Dell were, Dell, Mac, Lenovo and Asus. Any of those brand seems good to me.

I currently working on macbook pro late 2011. During 10 years of usage, HDD died and I've replaced it with SSD, as well as replaced dvd-drive with HDD for storage. Used it mainly for work, but during several months player Diablo 3 when it was released.

I had HP pavilion DV series before that. Used it for study and a bit of gaming. After 1 years its case started cracking like and old man. Bought a cheap HP for about $400. More like a cracking type machine. Was used rarely in case I need a second screen.

During lockdown, at work I was given Lenovo IdeaPad. After 1 year of work from 9 to 18, motherboard died.

HP is still best for me or at least Lenovo brand .

Well, if you prefer mac os, you definitelly have a reason to do so. What is it? Can you easily switch to Windows?

What does it mean - powerfull? I have some 12" Dell refurbished with some embedded Intel and Linux onboard and it is powerfull enough for my needs. Do not ask yourself which laptop is more powerfull then other, rather ask yourself which one is powerfull enough for your application.

And of course - there are lots of very important properties and features other then performance.

Yeah, but macs are not powerfull as some windows models and heat a bit more but aren`tthey smooth.

It's simple then. If you want mac, you already did narrow the selection to one manufacturer. Apple don't have many models in paralel so it won't be hard to choose specific model.

Well, this doesn't look like you are choosing beetween laptop manufacturers but beetween two operating systems. Maybe answer this questions first.

MacBook Air is the best overall Laptop is you like to use macs.
If you like Gaming you can look at a Asus Zephyrus G15.

I want to buy a laptop, i can`t choose between windows or mac, give me some benefits and cons on both platforms.
