There is no currency that is worth mining on a smartphone, you can get electroneum but it's not worth wrecking your phone for. It would be better to simply download an app and use it for trading coins instead.

not too sure about this but for electroneum case, it's not really mining on the phone right?
not 100% sure..

No, in the Elecrtroneum case the mining is happening on a computer remotely liked, the phone isn't mining itself.

It is probably more of a marketing gig

Don't even bother doing that. You will destroy your phone. I used to mine on my iphone 7+, and the phone used to get extremely hot that I would just feel bad. The return? almost zero. with tons and tons of GPU mining out there, I don't think you can do much with a phone. Even my Macbook Pro 2.9GHz 6‑core 8th‑generation Intel Core i9 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.8GHz couldn't pay for my condom usage costs (which is not a lot as its cold out here and there are less people on the streets  Undecided)

Mining alone in 2018 using home farm is already a questionable decision, let alone mining on a smartphone.
Smartphone simply doesn`t have capacity to mine effectively, and I doubt smartphone mining was profitable years ago.
If you`re so eager to mine, join some mining pool - this way you`ll get the reward even if you`re not the one who mined the block.

You probably won't find what you're looking for on this forum.
Try somewhere else.

Good luck!

hmmm..........Mining on a smartphone....... You might make 5 pennies after a year of mining while your phone completely dies from all the abuse.  The days of mining with weak gear like a laptop or phone are long gone.

it's not even worth mining using your smartphone.

there's literally no profit you can expect to make from mining anything on your smartphone.
just leave the mining to dedicated devices and use your smartphones as they are made to be used.

I do not recommend mining on your phone. I checked out Electroneum a while back, and my phone was capable of mining about 4 cents worth of ETN/day. It would need much more electricity to charge my phone, so it is not profitable.

I have been thinking of mining with my phone for some times now,  I have gone through various online resources on how to mine with smartphone but the result were not satisfactory considering how hard it is to mine this days.  Please which coin can I easily mine with my phone.
This is very funny, especially when I read this whole thread (sorry not mean to tease). When you say you are going to mine using your mobile phone the answer is impossible, it is impossible for you to get profit and others, and what will happen is your mobile phone is broken or explode, you know when you mine coin using mining rig and asic, not necessarily you will get profit, let alone use the phone, so my advice rather than to mine coin using your mobile phone you better sell your phone then use as a trading capital (no, I'm just kidding, do not sell your phone ...).

Mining on phone does not exist in my understanding by now, maybe are you referring on those cloud mining site? Most of those cloud mining site is scam. But i have one suggestion try Electroneum. Its not actually mining on phone there is a real computer connected to your phone remotely. its just a visual interface. Maybe a marketing to give experience to those people who are not into crypto to have a preview  of what is mining.
You can visit their thread here and read their whitepaper to understand more. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annico-electroneum-token-sale-sept-14th-mobile-mining-crypto-coin-2065043
or search their app on playstore named "Electroneum".

I'm trying to exploit Electroneum (ETN) on my phone. I find it does not affect the phone much. The process of digging is also quite fast. you can try Smiley

Electroneum ETN is the only efficient smartphone mining that I know.

It don´t effective mine. While you have the app on, you will be airdrop coins to emulate a mining.

APP is on beta and will be open for everyone soon

Most coins you can't mine on a mobile phone but you can stake some proof-of-stake coins using a mobile wallet.

You'll spend more money on electricity charging your smartphone than you'll get from mining. Don't bother with it.

I think the coin project on the phone is not very feasible. It requires too many components and in fact has not developed the coin for smartphones.

If it is possible to mine on smartphone, you will possibly damage your phone's battery. A better investment would be buying GPUs.

There is a new project called Phoneum.
If I'm not mistaken they created an opportunity to mine exactly on smartphones. It is possible to mine on their testnet at the moment, but I think they'll launch the mainnet soon.

Not good idea. Mine on phone is poor and very dangerous for your phone

I would also not suggest something like this which will actually destroy your phone and the batter life will dip very fast. Also it will wear out very soon and phone will also become slow and start hanging a lot since in background the process will keep running and you will not be able to optimize your phone much.

I also do not recommend you to mine the bitcoin by phone because it is very risky and also make your phone becomes slow because the feature does not support. Maybe if there is a special phone to mine that can be used to its full potential. I have to agree.

Don't bother to think about it because you would just waste up your mobile phone if you do plan to use it for mining and besides I don't even know that theres still a coin which is mineable by the use of phone considering that hashes would be given would be entirely small which I didn't think off that capable on mining stuffs and as being said by most people here you are just adding up expenses on buying a new battery of your smartphone.

To mine with your phone, you'll need to have it plugged in because of the crazy battery drain. Because you have it plugged in, you will easily generate enough heat over an extended period of time to strain/cause damage to the battery. You're looking at much more in expenses for a damaged battery/phone than you are in mining profits.

It's not worth it.

GPU mining is still possible for some altcoins... CPU mining is pretty much non-existent. I think there might be one or two coins targeting CPU mining, but the ROI is like 1 year+

So, given that most coins aren't even properly mine-able on CPU's (ie Desktops and Laptops)... the answer to your question regarding "smartphones" is: "none of them"... all you'll do is heat up your phone and drain the battery at best... possibly damage the battery and/or other components at worst.

In addition, I doubt any pay-off will even cover the cost of a replacement phone Tongue
