For CPU-mining I'd go with coins using the Argon2d-algorithm like Credits (CRDS), Dynamic (DYN) or Nimiq (NIM) - XMR, ETN etc. seem to be unprofitable for CPU-mining.
According to my experience I'd say Nimiq is the most profitable "CPU-only coin" currently (just make sure to use the external miner and not the browser-mining).

Warning: I wouldn't recommend mining on a Laptop as a 100% workload over long periods of time may decrease the lifetime of your hardware due to overheating.

You can mine JCEcoin via any browser.
That means you can CPU mine on any computer.
It also has a real purpouse - to replace web banners with consensual mining
and monetize websites content.
Yep, I forgot. If you have a website, you can integrate it in it.
Your visitors will be asked if they wish to cpu mine JCEcoins during their stay.

I think you wanted to write JSEcoin

Thanks, corrected Smiley

I’d recommend you to mine Monero. It is very good cryptocurrency with more than 1 billion capitalization. You will not have a lot with CPU mining, but certainly you‘ll get some profit. Use Claymore or XMRig CPU miners for it.

Hey, Cryptonight lite V7 is actually around 300% faster than normal v7 on CPUs.... my ryzen 1600 does 1750++ H/s mining IPBC coin, after v7 fork i tested normal hashrates , they became very low (its part of the asic resistance thingy i believe) got 200-300 h/s before v7 forks i used to get 500 h/s which wasn't bad, but really, your CPU on cryponight lite (1 mb scratchpad instead of 2, thus you can utilize much more of your cores/cache memory) an rx 570-580 will basically do same rate as my ryzen on cryponight lite ^^ or slightly higher.

Yes of course you can use cpu for mining. You can check in miergate or nicehash. my suggestions are better to try minergate, because there you will be given a lot of coin options for mining. However I do not recommend mining using the CPU, because it is too heavy work and the results are not satisfactory, better you can do cloud mining if you want to use your CPU for mining.

The best coin for mining on monero processors, a very large potential for a coin and there is a good chance of getting multiplication by 2-3

You can check out Hadron cloud. It let every user easily mine their coins with their CPUs or also any other mobile device. They are currently in their alpha testing. But you can already register for their beta testing. Here a link to their white paper: https://hadron.cloud/whitepaper.html

yeah, you can do it.
you can be mining ETN, XMR coin. or you can be mining the Burstcoin with your HDD. but I suggest better doesn't do mining with CPU without GPU except if you have CPU server such IU or 2U XEON 12 thread or 24 thread processor.

CPU mining = Cryptonight coins.

You can probably check out the profitability of cryptonight coins at https://www.cryptunit.com.

I personally use it (not affiliated to it tho) but as with all calculator, use it with a pinch of salt.

I have AMD Ryzen 7 CPU and just started mining Intensecoin.  Thanks for the information guys.

This one you mentioned, Aeon and Yenten are my favourite coins to mine with the CPU but if you look on the profit focus. I don't understand why still people are there to mine the cheap coins which does not have better profit for the electricity you spare.
If you are able to fund and buy the GPUs go with the p106-100 4 GB cards. You will get around 26MH+ for mining ethereum. Check the hash rate for the other algos.

I will say it again and I will always support IntenseCoin for mining with CPU.
Easiest coin to mine with the best profit you get.
I mine on my lap top Lenovo y50 with 5 cores and I still get ITNS coins with good profit.

Give it a try to mine while its still easy to mine and let me know how it goes
They have the best community around
and most important stable pools for mining.
Cheers
Let me know how it goes.
Hello! I'm very excited to join mining Intensecoin! Would you please help me to figure out one thing. If I want to mine with my CPU (pool mining), they say I only need to download a wallet, synchronize it and press "mine". And how do I mine to the particular pool? How can I set that?

if you have free electricity in your house then you can mine these coins.now take a look..
1.Bytecoin. it was one of the first anonymous cryptocurrency going back to 2012. miners have also reported that bytecoin is best to hold and ride the market.
2.Digitalnote.digitalnote is based on the cryptonote anonymous technology and is a cpu mining exclusive.
3.Monero.it is one of the most popular cpu minable cryptocurrencies. It is famous for the anonymity it provides to senders receivers. its popularity has also made it a slightly crowded market for miners, you will need more than one cpu to mine profitably.

To start with a simple coin
CPU miner you may try

AEON

Using a good cpu like i5 (with 6M chache L3)
and a good pool like https://aeon-pool.com
you can obtain the 1sr AEON in few week
not in many mouth as in MONERO and other more 'hard' coin...

Yes, you can try and use the nicehash profitability calculator. https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator/

Do note that i wouldn't recommend mining on nicehash, due to their high payout limits and their sloppy security, (they got "hacked" recently.)

Exactly nicehash was hacked a few ago..So you can choose minergate..I will not recommend bytecoins as we can call them dead coins..but you can go for monero(XMR).

Go the altcoins mining section on this website and see what's available.  You might have to upgrade to a GPU but I think there are some coins that are specifically set up so that one can do some mining with a CPU also.  Good luck!

Based on your specifics, Electroneum or Bytecoin are the best coins to mine, they can be mined easily with a CPU but the profitability of CPU mining is not what it used to be. For better answers to your questions you can use the MOVE button in lower left panel of the forum and move this threat to Altcoin Mining section.
