CoinSwitch was founded in 2017 as a global aggregator of cryptocurrencies and in June 2020 it launched its Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinSwitch kuber. With more and more people participating in the cryptocurrency frenzy that has now gripped the world, India isn't far behind. Several cryptocurrency exchanges have now come up in the country that enables buying, selling, and trading in several cryptocurrencies.

Bitbns is currently the best exchange in India at the moments. They offer lots of coins for trading and withdrawal options.

This is peer to peer exchange, you can deposit money in spite of RBI ban.this is secure and trustworthy....I am using it...so you can go with this....

You can also try coincrunch...

Can you with draw ETH coins in bitdns even without verification? I think verification is for INR only.

With the impending banking ban by the Reserve Bank of India, cryptocurrency exchanges in the country are scrambling to find banking alternatives. Two Indian exchanges have announced that they are launching P2P crypto trading services which will allow traders to buy and sell crypto legally even after the central bank’s ban.

ragiantex.COM  P2P Service
ragiantex.com

With the banking ban by the central bank set to take effect on July 5, Indian crypto exchange ragiant.com has been working on a solution for users to buy and sell crypto without needing a banking service.

The exchange announced last week that it is launching a P2P crypto transfer service which it claims to be “the most legal way to buy/sell cryptos in India after the RBI ban”.

The buyer and seller can deal with each other directly while RAGIANT acts as an escrow account for holding the cryptos during the transaction so that neither party cheats the other.

RAGIANT releases the crypto to the buyer upon receiving a confirmation from the seller, he noted. “We verify the KYC details of every user before allowing them to trade on RAGIANT, and keep a record of each and every transaction that occurs on our exchange.”

Launched in March, RAGIANT currently supports the BTC trading pair

With over 100,000 users currently, he added that his exchange is the “fastest to list those many coins in India in such a short span of time.”
Planning for RBI’s Ban

The P2P trading service will launch once the RBI ban takes effect, Shetty explained. According to the central bank’s circular, the ban prohibiting banks from servicing crypto businesses will commence on July 5.

People have been worried about how they would convert their fiat (INR) to crypto and vice versa. As soon as we announced P2P there was a big sigh of relief as users in India realized there are alternatives to the ban.

Five known petitions have been filed with the courts against the RBI ban. The supreme court will hear all cases on July 20, except for one petition which was filed by the Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). This petition will be heard later. “After considering the urgency, the supreme court decided to hear this one out on 3rd which is before the RBI deadline,”  ragiantex is a member of this association as are some other major crypto exchanges such as www.bittsbase.com  and Zebpay also starting p2p services in India

YOU CAN BUY AND SELL BTC AFTER RBI BAN ON EXCHANGES THROUGH BITTSBASE.COM WHICH IS ESCROW SYSTEM  the most legal way to buy/sellcryptos in India after the RBI ban peer-to-peer model to facilitate virtual currency trade without using normal banking channels

Zebpay was pretty good but now the RBI is playing spoilsport. Lets hope it cleans up soon.

Now all Indian cryptocurrency exchanges have been stopped for crypto exchange, as per RBI guideline. A new concept of peer to peer exchange is going to be launched by some exchanges such as:
1) LocalBitcoin (best among three)
2) Wazirx ( Needs bit work evertyhting buy and sell works based on USDT ) as of now
3) Koinex yet to launch

So visit here please.

Zebay is still the most popular, however the cryptocurrencies sets are too poor. I'm waiting when they introduce other especially more known currencies like Monero or Ripple
The best exchange in India would be zebpay, unocoin and cs, I also think zebay is the most popular

still waiting for a good exchange in india
try the Bitxoxo platforms..the fastest growing cryptocurrency exchange in India..one of the best and reliable platforms I've ever known and established in India...check their site for future reference...https://bitxoxo.exchange/

Read the below thread where their is a scam accusation being put and their are few other threads on this where people are not happy the things moving on the site. So go through each thing properly and ensure you do end up losing the money on such exchanges if they are not responding properly.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Pocketbits here. I have been using Pocketbits for a while and it has worked pretty well for me. I have used Zebpay and Koinex as well, but I have found Pocketbits to be the fastest by far. Generally they process KYC within an hour and Deposit and Withdrawals within a couple of hours. That's way less than the time taken by other exchanges. The support team is quick to respond and it's easy to reach them using the live support chat feature they have. They also support more coins than most of the other exchanges. Make sure you join their Telegram channel where you can get all the latest updates and support too, in case you decide to use their service.

Couple of hours for withdrawal is just great I think. But still regarding KYC the most convenient exchange is coinmonkey platform. As far as I know it is not an exchange exactly though it partners with major exchanges so you can use rates from major exchanges but st coinmonkey website without having actual accounts on these exhange a. As some guy told - jus like general store.

Coinmonkey.io is a special platform partnerring with major exchanges: Bitfinex, Bittrex, Poloniex, Shapeshift, Changelly, Changer, Nexchange.
So, we are aggregating their quotes and provide them to you. We take small fee for transactions but it's a tiny fee.
We developed it as our team got tired of long KYC processes, you just choose pair which you need to exchange, enter your wallet id (for receiving), transfer coins and receive your exchanged coins within 2-5 minutes.
feel free to contact us in case you have any questions.

Their where issues with Pocket bits and support does not work or quite slow in responding etc. Do not know what is the current scenario happening among exchanges after the FM mentioning regarding crypto in their budget which happened in start of the Feb. Their are quite a few issues users are facing form this small exchanges so ensure you trade in right exchange and trustworthy only.

Hi,
I'm an Indian and looking to set up an account for buying BTC and other altcoins.
What are the good ones and how much time does KYC take for those exchanges? Is AADHAAR and PAN enough for KYC?

Any suggestions and advice.

Hi,
In my opinion, I think decentralized exchanges are the future for the cryptocurrency trading.
The transaction goes peer to peer and the escrow is completely based on smart contracts, hence, there are a lower transaction fees. and most important, need of doing KYC and locking your ether while listing is removed.
Some of the Exchanges I know are findether.com which is working quite fine for buying and selling Ethereum.
All the other Indian exchanges are centralized and we all know several exchanges which have been hacked and people have lost there cryptos forever.

I think most popular is Koinex, because they have more cryptocurrencies. Also the prices to buy/sell are not different there as are in Zebpay and Unocoin.

I came to know a new exchange BITINDIA is coming up and they are going to have lots of coins. Currently they are asking people to vote which coins they want to people to get listed in their exchange in india.

Bitindia has John Mcafee as advisor/founder something like that.

If they turn out like they sound they will be huge.
More over there is coindelta exchange which is also very good with number of different currencies. You can buy OMG and QTUM there. My current favorites.

In my opinion there's no best crypto exchange in India as all exchanges are new and mostly average compared to international ones. The best way to go about finding an exchange is focusing on the coin you want to purchase and finding a good rate + transaction fee combination for it (since moving coins between exchanges is easy). You can monitor the rates at the top exchanges using this page https://coinhero.in and start creating accounts at the top exchanges for the coins you are interested in (create accounts in more than one exchange).

right, agree with that, it is young market, exchanges and exchangers just gain respect nowadays.
as for me I tried exmo, cex, coinmama, and all of them are really pain in the a**. don't know why but they don't verify my account more than a months.
so, I bouth btc from a friend and use jaxx.io wallet for storing it. also, tried small exchangers and sometimes it's really better to use them as they use many rates for many exchanges usually. there are many exchange ratings, but I tried coinmonkey.io early january and rates were nice, I bought eth for my btc when btc started dropping. so, it's young exchanger as far as I know, they operate since autumn, but seems to be trustworthy. any else who used coinmonkey?

Currently hearing a lot of complaint from users as their support takes time to reply or revert to their queries among all the exchanges in India. So it is quite painful and also few banks have started closing the bank account related to this exchanges.

Apart from Zebpay, Koinex, UnoCoin, there is also Coinome (by BillDesk/IndiaIdeas.com).
The part about Coinome which I like is that (currently) there are absolutely no charges for funding INR or withdrawal INR.
(Others charge upto 2%).
And you also get instant credit when you fund using your Bank's NetBanking.

Hope this helps!

Hi

In India Zebpay & Unocoin wallets are used to buy/sell bitcoins.Pan & Aadhaar are enough for KYC,Verification time would be around 7-10 days. But Personally I feel Zebpay wallet is cheating customer by not increasing the value of bitcoin like it used to do earlier when there is hike in bitcoin value. Not Sure about Unocoin wallet
