That's right.  No pseudo-intellectual whitepaper exists for XSPEC.  That is one thing which actually sets Spectrecoin apart from shit coins which try to dazzle potential investors with a flashy, intellectual sounding imitation of Satoshi Nakamoto to hook them and reel them in; not so with Spectrecoin.  Everything you need to know about Spectrecoin's background, guiding philosophy, concept, and tech, in order to make an informed decision, can be found on the wiki page, the roadmap, and the GitHub.

If you are looking to be dazzled with flashiness and no substance, look elsewhere.  Especially since you do not care about specifications and tech, in your own words.

I think AION is still cheap compared to competitors and has great team and very good potential. Quantstamp has great idea too and very good marketing as well as Proof of hodl conception.
