Announcing MyEtherWallet v3.24.00: Difficulty Bomb&Updating blockchain

Due to the complexity of the Bomb and the increased risk of hacking, we pushed a rather drastic update that implements a number of changes and improvements, including enhancement of efficiency and scalability of the blockchain, acceleration of transaction speed, and additional security in the form new formats private keys which will help protect users against hacking.
If you are using private key or UTC, then you need to go into the wallet and update manually, otherwise they risk being unprotected.

How do i update my Ethereum wallet?

1. Go to our website MyEtherWallet.com
2. Unlock your wallet using your Keystore File (UTC / JSON) or simply use your private key.
3. Click Unlock and wait for the update.

Please note that you need to manually update your wallet, failure to do so may result in funds being lost.

We are taking these measures to protect both you and our network from phishing and malicious attacks.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
MyEtherWallet Security Team.

If you use other methods, then ignore this message.

Monero is not a good coin for beginners
You need 2 or 3 days of mining with one good GPU to recover it !
and I think the best equipment on the market for mining monero are hacked botnets.

Lol. Grin ... You didn't think that one through, now did you?  What would you say makes a coin, a good coin for beginners?  Certainly the time it takes to mine with proper equipment doesn't have anything to do with whether or not it is a good coin for beginners.  There really is no such thing as a coin that is not good for beginners.

A beginner can choose what coins to mine just as someone who's been doing it for years based on what level of speculation they are comfortable with.

It depends on your budget to determine your entry hardware.

Low Budget = RX-550 4 GB
$125/card | ~450 H/s | ~22 Watts
*BIOS Modded

High Budget = Vega 64
$675/card | ~2050 H/s | ~200 Watts
*BIOS Modded

These are really the only 2 options you want to go with. You could go the Vega Frontier Edition route too, but those cards are very hit or miss and not worth the trouble.

We have several rigs of both types, ROI is 10 months at current prices.

If you want a pre-built and configured solution at the speeds mentioned above let us know!

We recommend you to do Ultrapoint mining, which is much more profitable and requires no special equipment. Ultrapoint is a Monero fork.

I want to start mining Monero and I would like to know what is the best equipment available on the market?

This is now best and profit given mining coin which will give decent profit with the GPU mining option. In that way you have to choose the right mining GPU cards to mine it. Most suggestable card is AMD or Nvidia to mine the bitcoin. As far as people are concerned in the bitcoin mining with the ASIC here you can mine with the GPU much faster. You can make more than 500 USD which the 6 cards connected rig.

Vega give the best hashrate, but is very expensive card, you can try RX560 also for start
RX560 is an old GPU. They are no longer able to perform the necessary computation time. I think it would be a useless purchase. My opinion is that now for mining it is best to buy VEGA GPU. Their price is high but the cost is justified. Of return on this one GPU is equivalent to two of RX 580 but you will receive substantial savings on electricity.

Monero can be mined via CPU or GPU, however it's better to go with GPU's as there hashrate will be much higher.

Checkout here for some examples of the hardware you could get: https://mineshop.eu/monero-xmr-miners

It would be a lot cheaper if you could source the hardware and build the rig yourself.

You can then use whattomine to calculate profits: https://whattomine.com/coins/101-xmr-cryptonight

you better start investing with more GPU, i heard Vega has a nice hash/price ratio for cryptonight algo.
