Bittrex is the best an exchange too, I do not have a problem there
and there is many altcoins to trading.

i agree with that.
i like bittrex over poloniex also mostly because of their charts, the charts system in bittrex is awesome in my opinion. there are too many things to work with there and make it look good and informative.

Depends on where you are. Circle is best for the UK. Coinbase for the US. Quadriga for Canada. Bit4Coin for the SEPA region
I've used Coinbase during my time in the states and have used Quadrigax (or however its spelled) during a few weeks in Canada, and I can say both are quite good. My only complaint with Canadian exchanges is the smaller volume and thus bigger disparities between buy and sell orders' values. Aside from that though, they do quite well serving their purpose.

I do have always the big ammount of my coins(around 0,10btc) at poloniex, that i do believe its the best exchange, and i do use yobit exchange besides the payment being made there always a pump starting, soo i can earn a bit extra with those.

I do use both poloniex and Yobit also. Yobit is fast and simple to use and there are more active traders also.

Sometimes  I do arbitrage also between these two exchanges on most known coins and its good. Poloniex on bigger volumes but sometimes I can't cope up with prices as trading is so fast.

I think the best is Poloniex exchange, this is large exchange - online around 7000 people, plus you can also search in the forum regarding this exchange too, check here - https://poloniex.com/  Grin

Yup, I also use poloniex as a place of exchange. I love poloniex because they provide outstanding service, and also a very good security, so I am a little feel secure against the Fund and also my account in the exchange.

I really like The Rock Trading. It is the safest place to trade (online since 2007), fast support and amazing features. Moreover it has a strong policy about currency adoption. In fact they only accept few coins, without all the shit many other exchanges accept.

If you wanna sign up and start using this exchange, just click on my signature  Wink

Also I use this exchanger. Safe, convenient, fast.

I use Poloniex, Yobit, Bitkonan. It depends from time to time. Never had any issues with none of these exchangers so I can recommend them all. They are trustable and have good support and customer service, that is realy important. I think that also pay attention to security which is quite important because of possible hackers attack.

I am not sure about higher volumes but usually I trade at yobit because it’s user friendly and cheaper (compared with some other exchanges I used so far) and I think interface is absolutely clean and tidy so it makes easier to trade in 600+ alt coin pairs. You can call this as an advertisement but that’s my experience about it.

The Poloniex could be a good exchange for the altcoin trading. The trading volumes there is quite large.

What is the highest volume, lowest fee exchange?

What is the best exchange to daytrade with?

You have got lots of suggestion about which exchange is the best, but I want to tell you that choose the fastest and the correct one. For example a while ago yobit was much better for ETH rather than poloniex even though poloniex had the biggest volume of all exchanges, why yobit was better is that the confirmation time/number of confirmation was 30 comparing with poloniex which was 320. So what I'm trying to say is choose the best for that coin that you want to trade for.

I never faced any problem at yobit till the moment, i just use poloniex and yobit as my exchanges the others i dont need them and i dont like them at all, i had once traded on the c-cex  and other one, i had registed account at kraken and bitfinex but i dont use them since the registration. For me its something about the trust into the exchange and provide a great service.

Poloniex is great because the alts there got a good volume, but when it comes to trust I still prefer bittrex above any exchange for altcoins.
But, i don't trust them more then 5 bitcoin.

it's quite a personal preference. non asian exchanges have pretty steep fees if your trade volume is lower than a certain amount. if you're asian then join okcoin or huobi as they don't have fees.

But at least they aren't faking their volume Wink

I'd say BTC-E if you value anonymity and Bitfinex if you want high volume, but it's best to avoid all exchanges if you can.

You are right exchanges are not good in the moment. In the meantime just keep your btc in your wallet as it may still increase its monetary value. In my experience though a newbie in trading sometimes it is very risky and time consuming. So its better to let bitcoin in your wallet and it will surely earn without doing any exchanges. It is safe, time saving and efficiently earning

bitfinex playing a major rule in bitcoin. for me the best exchange is bitfinex and the second is folenix.
last time when bitfinex got down for maintenance reason. then bitcoin price started dropping  suddenly.. and it decrease 200$ and again reach 500$ even it was 780$ before just one day.
it proves that bitfinex how big in bitcoin industry and how important also.

still didn't find the best exchange so far, mostly required real identity.
well actually i used my local bitcoin exchange(vip.bitcoin.co.id), i satisfied with their service although their WD fees for transfer to local bank is pretty high.

for btc usd trading btc-e.com is one of the best option and if you want to trade altcoins then you should go with poloniex.com,

poloniex is not suitable for those who have not had an identity card,
and I think the polo loading is very slow, I think for better altcoins exchange in bittrex Cheesy

actually in poloniex you just write your full name to get an access to take a transaction, it's take a limit, but it's pretty high limit i think.
bittrex is high volume, this is my favorite altcoin exchange.

I've always been perfectly content using Kraken, the one time I had a problem with a deposit not coming through, they replied and fixed it after an hour.
Their fees are also pretty decent.

Kraken is a great exchange and I use it a lot since I am based in Europe and I do many transactions in Euros. Great thing about them is that they don't require you to send them documents for a verification if you trade up to a certain amount each month.

Also it seems that their security audits are correct, one of the few exchanges that provide their audits so we can see all of our funds are there and available.

You need to be cautious with bitcoin exchanges. The problem right now is: they want your credentials and personal information. These data can be stored and used in the future - for example personal data people from MtGox were transferred to IRS AFAIK. Don't be surprised when tax agency will send you bitcoin tax form in the future just because you sell/buy bitcoin via exchange.

Necessary information. thanks you.

I think the best exchange it's Poloniex and btc-e and bitfinex.

I would have agreed with your recommendation of bitfinex until today, but my confidence has been slightly shaken. I still think it's the best exchange out there currently (if you want to use margin). I can't wait for there to be a solid US based exchange with actual volume. I'm not sure if one will ever exist though with all the regulation and requirements. At this point Gemini seems like a unicorn...

I think that huge part of what is your preferable exchange is the place where you live really. It does not matter if Bitfinex or Bitstamp are the biggest and most reputable in US.
Chinese won't use it but instead they will prefer OkCoin or bitcn. I am waiting for one big global and decentralized exchange, then I will say this is the best service.

The btc-e has existed for half a decade and I've used it from the past 3 years, I have never encounterred any problem, there has been bugs sometimes but they are fixed soon. Never encountered there website to be down or something, they provide anonymity and respect regulations, I appreciate that. With creating a monopoly in this field, they obviously score an upper hand compared to the competition but still, there is competition out there.

Btc-e is a good exchange for day trading,  in my opinion.
On this exchange, if you want to trade between btc/usd then you can do it even without doing aml/KYC.

But of you want to withdraw usd then you will have to do aml/kyc.

Poloniex is good but seems to be biased towards some definite altcoins, neglecting other perspective ones

What is the highest volume, lowest fee exchange?

What is the best exchange to daytrade with?

btc-e for about 5 years now, never seamed to have any problems, and on rare occasions when there is something wrong, they fix it asap, at least it was like that in my cases.
anonymity is another plus, atleast until regulations force them to change that, 2fa just to be sure. Its hard to compete with exchanges that have a long history like that.

cheers

You need to look forward for the Gemini exchange by the Winklevoss brothers. Im moving all of my fiat based BTC/fiat operations over there as soon as I can. Those damn twins are taking their time, but its better to make it slow and good than rush a release that would ruin BTC big time if something goes Gox.

For me BTC-E and Bitstamp are exchanges I never had any issues with. At this point they are not exchanges with the highest volume, but if you remove the fake volume from the Chinese exchanges, BTC-E and Bitstamp will compete on top.

I think Poloniex is the safest and most honest for altcoin trading.  They do make an attempt to filter scam coins and paycoin(XPY) would be an example.

The only thing that pisses me off is delisting coins which most exchanges do.

You should better asked what is the most securest one instead of high volume and low fees. I can recommend Poloniex as one of the best exchanges. Okay, there is partly low volume (depends on the coin) but has a really good support and there have not been any hacks or negative news so far.

I think a distinction needs to be made between alt-coin exchanges like poloniex and cryptsy and sites where you exchange national currencies for bitcoin.  I don't have a lot of experience with the latter, only coinbase that you should avoid for a large number of reasons, but with the former I have enjoyed trading on poloniex.

I would agree with others that have said not to keep any more coin than you need to on the exchanges.

Good Luck!

I will make regular use of an exchange when there's one that can guarantee they're not going to front run me, fake their numbers or run away with all the cash. Until then there isn't a best exchange.

Keep your funds and trades spread across various exchanges.
It's best not to use any exchanges for storing your coins as they often unexpectedly go down or get hacked.
BTC-e can be good but there are various risks involved. Coinbase isn't too bad. For quick conversions, use shapeshift.io.
Other than that I would recommend a few others but they've all had some issues recently like hacks and thefts.

My current favorite is Poloniex. I enjoy the dark layout which feels nice on the eyes. If you are going to daytrade for hours it's an important feature to not end up blind, besides obvious reasons like great volume and good selection of coins.

My personal favorite is cryptsy.
Been using it for some years now.
While it is slow as F*** and sometime you get the feeling that they will steal your money,
they always resolved the issue and I never lost funds.
So I consider them very trustworthy.

The only thing is, don't expect to get fund fast on/off the bay.
But I guess as a day trader you need to have the coins permanently on the bay since minutuss really will coint when day trading. they have 2Fa too.

it's quite a personal preference. non asian exchanges have pretty steep fees if your trade volume is lower than a certain amount. if you're asian then join okcoin or huobi as they don't have fees.

But at least they aren't faking their volume Wink

I'd say BTC-E if you value anonymity and Bitfinex if you want high volume, but it's best to avoid all exchanges if you can.

That's also my opinion.
For maximum privacy it's best to avoid all exchanges and trade in person. But btc-e is also a good choice in that regard.

Indeed, Asian exchanges have long been suspected to generate fractional reserve Bitcoin by paying out "interest" - so you should be careful with them. Needless to say: Don't store large amounts of Bitcoin on any exchange!

I'd advise against daytrading. More than 90% of traders loose money in the long run - they greatly overestimate their abilities. It's not worth the risk. Better do some extra work for your Bitcoin, then buy and hodl. It's much more relaxing.
