Thanks for the input... I have a coinbase now, but the fees seem high and I wanted to avoid IRS scrutiny if I start to cash out a bunch from mining.

Bittrex is one of the best large exchanges but really the answer to your question is that it depends.

Go to any particular coin of interest on https://coinmarketcap.com/ and then click on the "markets" tab. Look at the markets that have the highest amount of liquidity for that particular coin and that will be the best market in that particular case.

It is good to be on many exchanges for your own benefit.

Hello. What do you guys use to exchange bitcoin and altcoin to USD and transfer to bank account.. Can I do it without providing ID?  Which has the lowest fee?

Thanks.

every legit exchanger will have KYC and AML regulation to comply with country's law.
if you want to do without providing ID, you can buy it personally.
i mean like buying to your friends or something like that

Every legit exchange that provides USD-BTC pair will require ID verification nowadays. If you only want to buy/sell and don't intend to trade actively, try localbitcoins.

+ I think BitPanda.com would allow you to sell crypto to fiat without id verification within some small limit. They have good reputation, I've used them once (~2 years ago) and all went smooth.

I'd say that http://coinbase.com is the most noob-friendly exchange to buy/sell altcoins. You do need to verify your ID/passport.

If you don't want to do that, you should look for a P2P exchange such as http://localbitcoins.com, although the risk of being scammed is much bigger here.
