Coinbase charges high fees to transfer if not to another Coinbase member. Yobit will accept fiat from PerfectMoney account with no fee. If you are using fiat to buy from an exchange then you will probably have to verify using photo identification.

I know coinbase as a very good one for buying BTC or ETH using USD, except the high fees, they are okay to use for a direct transactions of fiat to crypto currency. I don't really know if there is another like it.
I also feel that nothing is better than the coinbase. maybe only localbitcoin that can attract a lot of people to exchange to the currency USD. I used the localbitcoins service several times, although sometimes the price looks like we are losing it but trust and security can add a plus when we use local bitcoin. jaid all depends on our choice, when we want to get better service then we have to sacrifice some and one of them there is transaction fee.

Of course there is although op wants to lessen the fees thats why he doesn't want to use coinbase. In that case op. You can try the following:

1). Localbitcoins.com
2). cex.io
3). https://www.bitfinex.com/trading

All of them offers usd to btc and vice versa. If you're planning to use localbitcoins make sure to read the users feedbacks. As for the fees for sure you can view them before sending your USD's so you can compare them.

Bitfinex for me is good especially when you are already a veteran trader. But other may also work it is better to at least practice trading in localbitcoins.com

I've had poor experiences with ACH deposits being needlessly delayed by Coinbase in the past. I use Gemini now, which pre-credits your Fiat deposits so that you can trade with them instantly and withdraw your crypto once the deposit clears. I've had much better experiences with them and don't support Coinbases stance on 2x.

Hi,
I want to buy some BTC, ETH etc using US dollars and am looking for an exchange other than coinbase as it has high fees.
I tried kraken but right not funding from US dollars does not work.
Please let me know your recommendations.
Thanks in advance
Use localbitcoins : They're quite peer-peer based and doesn't have high transaction fees and or are manipulated and controlled by the FBI/NSA like Coinbase.

Coinbase is best for depositing US dollar among other exchanges. You can try blockchain.info as it now supports exchanging BTC for USD.And blockchain.info is the most trusted wallet out there. You can try blockchain.info, it is one of the options available for you.
You know what else is coinbase famous for ? Taking your docs, tracing your bitcoins and handing them over to the FBI incase you are buyingsomething for yourself from the deep web.Bunch of government controlled puppets.

I can recommend the service of localbitcoins website. It is not an exchanger but provides a platform for the traders with a free escrow service. I have used their service for many times and never had any negative experience. It is a peer to peer exchange platform where people posts their offers for buying and selling. They also have a feedback service so try to find a reputed exchanger from your country and open a trade. However, it only supports bitcoin so for ETH, you may need to find other exchanging service. But for bitcoin, localbitcoins is the best of the lot.

Well, maybe you think like that because you see every exchanger has a different price but the question of whether we can trade in every exchanger. I think not because some of them do not accept the trader from other country or they have their own rules, I think the only best exchangers are exchangers operating in our own country.

Where are you from? Afaik almost all countries has their own local exchange which will make you easier to buy and sell bitcoin.
Other option, you can try to find some trusted members in this forum. Checked the Currency Exchange board and find the most suitable deal for you but dont forget to use a trusted escrow.

It depends on your location. If you are considering the huge fees of coinbase anyway, you can try P2P exchanges like remitano. They have been good with the rates and fees as well and this is where I have been getting mine. They are available in most countries and they are moving pretty fast. You can check it out.

If you google it you can find a lot of sites which can exchange the bitcoins but make sure to check there review before sending money because there's a lot of scammers there. Anyways you can use Bit Stamp to exchange. Its safe and reliable  and the fees is low. Second is Local Bitcoin i my self use this site to exchange my bitcoin. It really depends on oneself of which you thing is better for you.

Choosing the right exchange is not at all easy as there are lots of crypto exchanges, One need to ensure that the exchange is secure to buy cryptocurrencies, and to check how safe and secure is their website, server and good customer ratings.IQ option, Bitfinex, GDAX,Paxful, coinmama,Bitmex, Bittrex, CEX.io, Bitstamp, POLONIEX, CRYPTOPAY,GEMINI,Indacoin are some of the cryptocurrency exchanges converting USD to buy ETH ,Bitcoin and other altcoins .  Bitfinex and GDAX are the Largest and best USD cryptocurrency exchanges. Everyday the volume keeps on changing, always keep in mind to never leave bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies online or in exchanges, as it is always safe to transfer to hardware wallet.

Stick to Coinbase and just target profits from doing smart trades moves. Accept the fees if in return, you will have a smooth and no problem on the transaction.

You will soon recover the fees once you make it right plus bitcoin is long term so expect that you will covered the fees you spend.

What country you from? How much fees is concerned here? and for what deposit method that those fees applied?

With the current price of bitcoin, really expect a high fees especially when buying bitcoin because of DEMAND.

Where are you from? Hard to answer for a generic person that could be anywhere in the world

If from USA, why not some of licensed exchanges, like Gemini?

I am from USA. But does Gemini allow me buy Ripple, Neo etc or only ETH and BTC?
Then go to another exchange to buy Ripple?
Thanks

there are  many reliable exchanges. but i will go with poloneix (one of the best digital asset exchanger)

if you read what OP is asking to the end you can see the first line he is saying he wants to use US dollar  to buy those things! i don't see any way of depositing US dollar in poloniex and you are admitting it is a "digital" asset exchange!
and it is not the best by the way, they have quite a lot of issues and their support sucks.

Try BitStamp or Bitfinex since both of them have very high volume in USD and the fees isn't that high. LocalBitcoin also works well if you could find people who will accept USD and you sure they're not scammer.

aren't localbitcoin prices a lot higher than the market value of bitcoin?

i don't know how to check it for USD but localbitcoins in my local currency has only offers which are much higher that what you see on exchanges. so you will end up paying a lot more.
also according to preev it is $5144 which is 6% ($289) higher then bitstamp's current price of $4855

Poloniex is probably your best bet other than Coinbase.  I
don't know that there are many other *legitimate* exchanges
out there that deal with fiat and would let you buy eth.  Stay
away from Chinese fakes, just like when buying on eBay.

Coinbase remains the best for USD deposit. because at this time it may be rare exchange that can provide such services. most only focus on the trade and it must be through verification if you want to make a deposit through the USD. a fairly high amount of fee is not a problem for me, because the most important is how security of money we have. security and trust are very difficult to find in other exchanges.

gdax is run by the same parent company as coinbase.  If you search youtube, there are videos which show you how to avoid fees on gdax by using their limit buy option.  I'm not sure if this was intentionally put in place by gdax but it worked 2 weeks ago.  Can avoid wire fees to if you link up your bank account but it takes 4 business days to get access to the funds and alot can change in 4-days.
