Thanks for suggestions:

After quick try out of Nicehash it is showing
projected monthly income of $5 or 0.000381 BTC (My CPU and GPU combined).

However, Nicehash appear to have made minimum payout level to
external wallet 0.01 per week ($150 at current rates) or 30 months!

I really wanted paying much quicker for smaller operators.

So it looks like Nicehash would keep any mining profit for those that mine
for a while only to realise it would take for ever to get paid.

Back to my original question. Are there any miners/apps  that pay out without huge time lags
for smaller amounts?

NiceHash is usually good for beginners but they did have a hack recently if I'm not mistaken. Check withdrawal limits for every pool you look at.

One option could be to use Nicehash. Currently they pay in BTC and they have instant free transfer to Coinbase. If you are in one of Coinbase supported countries you can take advantage of exchange via GDAX to ETH, LTC for example.

Hello All

I have mined a few weeks with Monero using ordinary PC and Nvida card.

I was attracted to Monero because it was held to be ok for those without powerful rigs and
good for both  cpu and GPU. It seemed pitched at those who were interested in crypto but
not necessarily BTC.

However, I have noticed it is very difficult to transfer mined XMR due to fees and lack of wallets/exchanges that take it.

My question is:  What do members recommend as an alternative?

Which coin is easy to get started on for low level mining and will have some value?
Things that would be attractive are, Ease to begin mining with regular PC (I5 chip and Nvida GTX 1050 GPU , worth mining still, good and easy exchange to BTC or other crypto, low fees and easy wallets?

I am thinking litecoin etc but would appreciate some opinions.

If this post is in the wrong section please advise and I will re-post.
