I'm more into the philosophy of spending coins instead of too much investing.. but would love to mine some for fun! I was thinking i can mine a few dodge coins, would this be a good option for an 09 macbook pro?

Depends on what you mean with "good option". It won't be profitable, but it sure will be fun. :3

Nobody can guarantee it will be profitable or not. Just google "Dogecoin" see many press/tech websites have written articles about it.

I'd look at Quarks. You could actually mine a couple and get some real return on that in a few months/years.

Something that I will mine a noticeable amount of.. that there is/will be an actual demand for! Even if that means I only own a couple cents worth :p
