this will depend on each individual card. every card is different. one setting might crash another card. just set your rig up and run afterburner. then up your settings until your rig crashes. that will then be the limit of your weakest card.

Thank you. This question is probably the most common stupid one ever - if there was a global ideal clock rate for every card model, they'd set it at the factory.

This is what I use for solo mining Eth.  Dual mining requires a few different steps and uses a lot more power.

50-80 power limit - Set this as low as possible. Don't dip below 1500 core or you'll start to lose hash.
80-90 Temp so you dont throttle too early.  I set mine at 85.
1500-1600Mhz core clock
+600-650 Memory for most basic 1070's.  Some memory you can push to 900 but I would test each card individually if you want to go that high.
Custom Fan profile or set it to run 60-70% continuously.

Have fun.

Ok thanks, what hashrates do you get with those settings? and you use 1070's as well?

also I tried putting the core clock up but putting it anywhere above 0 causing the MH to drop.

you should probably mention which gtx 1070 do you have and what other settings you tried, i think a gtx 1070 can get 30-31mhs but i'm not that sure.

On one rig I have 5 evga gtx 1070 sc2's and 3 evga 1070 sc black edition the sc 2's get about 31mh the other rigs are all 1070 sc black editions getting 29-30 tops

Was wondering if anyone could share their overclocking setting for mining ETH with claymore using gtx1070s and msi afterburner

I currently have set:

65 power
68 temp
0 core
600 mem
fan auto

I get around 29-30 mh maybe someone has some better ideas for setting I can push it a bit more but it always becomes unstable and I have to do a hard reboot?

Thanks
