I have found local BTC as a great way to get in as a newbie. What is better than being able to exchange cash for coins spot or near spot and chat and learn about whats going on and meet local coinoisseur's. EXPERIENCE, FREE ADVICE, CONTACTS amazing deal.

For those who are new, don't expect everyone on you meet on local BTC to be good people, meet in public place and sit with person and wait for first confirmation of transaction if that makes you feel safer. Make sure you set the right expectation before you start any transaction.. I want to trade X cash for X BTC at X rate. I have cash, please confirm you have BTC in wallet with you on your phone etc. and make sure they know before you meet them that you are planning on sitting down and chatting with them until you receive first confirmation from the network (expect 10mins to up to 45 mins) If the person is not legit, they usually wont even want to meet you if you set the expectation ahead of time.

CHEERS,

that's humble my experience

Is there any opinion on which sites have best options for US bitcoin users, whether it is prepaid cards, or WU options.

There's one cash-out method that rocks, but you need Dwolla.  But then you get debit gift cards to things like Chevron, BP, Shell, Home Depot, Walmart, etc. etc., with no premium paid -- not even for shipping.  If interested, send me a PM and I'll forward your info to the appropriate party.

As far as cashing out, I always scratch my head in wonderment when I hear someone whine about there being no way to cash out without paying a fee.   But then I look at LocalBitcoins, and I almost never see anyone selling their bitcoins at market rate.      See, ... if you list your bitcoins at spot market rate, the chances of someone contacting you to buy them ... at market rate, increases.

Don't just assume some buyer is going to list that they want to buy at spot rate.   Everyone is looking for a deal, but if you want to sell your coins, list them on LocalBitcoins, at spot rate (or lower if you need to).   The buyers will come running.   Then let those buyers know you regularly have more coins.   Eventually, you'll no longer have any problem cashing out.

I have been using a few ways to move bitcoin around and I believe I have a good hold on it. But beside a bankwire, I use BTC-E and just paypal, which is a pain in the ass fee for a quick buck. Is there any opinion on which sites have best options for US bitcoin users, whether it is prepaid cards, or WU options. I just want to know easiest methods. I know the stickies and google, and I know all the sites, I am just was wondering personal opinions on ease of use etc., Again mostly under 1000 cash withdrawals. Thankss

Thanks guys!!
