i don't like mining on the huge pools,

i'd rather see 2's and 3's instead of .2's, even if they are 15x more often

Ozco.in is a good pool
Eclipse is like Ozco.in with a couple extra really nice features

Initially when I was starting, I was either going to go to Eclipse, due to the PayPal payout thing. But after a while, I heard about OzCoin, and because I'm Aussie, and live in Australia, I decided to back them up and join. (Aussie pride). To my benefit, I had found out that they had 0% fee for DGM.

I guess I'm going to try PPS on OzCoin, I'll see how it goes.

If you mine at the three I've listed, you can reduce your payout variance due to pool "luck" by a significant amount.

Or you can just mine at a PPS pool. Zero risk and luck involved.

If there's no reason to leave ozcoin, I'd stay there. Good uptime, they're a legally incorporated company and the pool operator has released his personal details publicly. The pool operator and his staff respond to requests and problems quickly. They use a payout method that ensures no miner can use strategic mining to earn more coin at the expense of others.

You may want to consider mining at a few pools at the same time by using a proxy or dedicating one card to one pool, and to another, etc. Set the lower hashrate card to mine at the smaller pool, the larger hashrate card to the larger pool. Or use a proxy. If you mine at the three I've listed, you can reduce your payout variance due to pool "luck" by a significant amount.

Try Ozcoin, with DGM! Oh, wait....

Ozcoin is great, so is Eclipse MC, Bitminter - it might just be easier to post what pools you are considering so that forum members can post their experiences.

The thing is that I've only been in OzCoin.

And  I have basically no knowledge about other pools. I decided to post here because many people have had experiences with pools so that I can take their advice from their mistakes / learnings.

Hey guys.

I'm kind of new here and was wondering what would be the best pool for me.
Currently I'm only mining at 1.2 GHash, but soon will upgrade to 2 GHash. (Waiting for a 5970 to arrive).

Right now I'm mining at OzCoin with DGM. I think that's 0% fee or something.

Any recommendation in which pool/s would give me the highest profit possible.

Thanks
