I reduced the amount of BTC and bought more Altcoins like SUB, Oyster Pearl, REQ and Elixir because I think that this coins can outperform Bitcoin in 2018.

I think the plan the op has is probably the best and safest. It is wise to have a diverse portfolio and to not just have everything in one place.

i can suggest myetherwallet for ethereum, if you have a big number of coins you have to think to buy an hardware portfolio.
He's not asking about a wallet, he asked about what he should put in his wallets.
You can also gamble with some new currencies, they can grow faster than already big altcoins.

100% bitcoin, altcoins is very risky, most of them can't increase with bitcoin.
ETH had peak of 0.15 BTC this year, went 0.7BTC and now its 0.2BTC.

Some altcoins increased more than bitcoin, but it is very risk to hold it.
Holding bitcoins is the best choise, i bought 30% in altcoin and regret it.

I hate to amit it but I have come to this conclusion the hard way.

Higher BTC value something like 50-65% whatever feels most comfortable and then spend that 30% on a few coins more than 3 I would say. Try not to go more than 10 because you will have to do a lot of managing but I would diversify past 5 coins altogether.

40% BTC
30% ETH
30% Other Coins: NEO, Waves, Monero
You should keep some in USDT/USD or FIAT too because when there will be some dump in market you can easily make good profit by buying them at dumped prices with your fiat.

Keep atleast 10% of your investment in fiat and 40% in bitcoin alone. You can keep other coins in any percentage you like.

I would add LTC there as well, it deserves its own spot and not be a part of "other". It has been surging lately and it looks like this trend may continue. In the "other" section, you may want to add IOTA as well, since it has also been going strong.

what are the best coins to start an long term portofolio?

I was thinking about something like that:

40% BTC
30% ETH
30% Other Coins: NEO, Waves, Monero

What are you thinking about that?
