No, a taker is someone who's order executes against an existing order on the order book. A provider is one who's order does not execute right away but instead goes on the visible order book. Providers can be buyers or sellers, and likewise for takers. It all depends on how your order executes.

Thanks! No Chase branches though...

I am taking a look at Campbx. They say ↓

CampBX charges a .055% fee on every Quick Trade or Advanced Trade, and 2% fee on Margin Trades.

Not bad..

Remember that if you put an order on the book at Bitfloor you get a rebate. So if you figure that into your final price you might be able to post a bit lower there than you would have otherwise.

I would try bitfloor if a Chase branch is near you. Otherwise, use CampBX (that ref. link gets you 10% off commissions). CBX is sometimes lower than bitfloor.

I am surfing around trying to find the lowest prices/trades on bitcoins. Does anyone know the best site that has decent volume and low prices for USD → BTC ?

I have been waiting for hours at the present one and I would rather cash out than wait. I offered a price above the last few trades, but no one seems to be taking it.

Mt Gox has the highest prices from my experience. I am looking for lower prices.
