The best way is to trade small amounts, build trust with trader/s, then increase amount slowly but steady.

This is all about building trust. Then is much more easier

I really don't recommend you to sell your BTC to any user directly as they can scam you if you are to sell more BTC's that are of higher amount than 1000$ USD. I have seen s many people getting scammed here and that's why it's recommended to not trust anyone with closed eyes. When it comes to trust, no one can say that if someone legitimately trusted or not. The best way for you to convert those BTC's into your Paypal wallet is by doing it Via sites like localbitcoins. There are so many sellers/buyers who will buy your Bitcoin and send money into your Paypal account. Remember, even on those sites you should check the reviews of the users and the %age of fee they deduct for the transfer of money.

Sell your bitcoins to reliable traders in currency exchange, is the only way I think you won't have any problem getting funds, always check user have many trustable trades with it (And not people with fake vouches) you have to really take care because they may want to send funds first to later chargeback.

So to avoid scammers trade with reputable ones.
