How about buying a second Block Erupter, effectively doubling your hashpower? Used parts in good condition?Ooookay, nobody in a sane state of mind buys hashing hardware, got it. Mining PPC as an alternative seems valid. I doubt a really small coin could risk mining on any algorithms that are dominated by monster size ASIC rigs. Same for a third or fourth scrypt coin.
One miner owning a monster rig could blow that 3rd/4th coin out of the waters, just for giggles.
That renders older specialized hardware fairly useless, except as a room heater.
