It entirely depends on location. If you are in the UK it is difficult which I'm assuming based on your name. I use OK pay (you can convert directly to bitcoins). It has the lowest fees in my experience but it takes a while to get verified.

Otherwise virwox is good.

Converting back is pretty hard though!

Being European or American really helps with bitcoin trading!

For sure it depends on what payment methods you can use. As posted before I used VirWox and was very happy with. Downside there is for sure, that you first have to change it in Linden Dollar. But you can use paysafecard, Ukash and Paypal, so I think the higher fees are worth it.

the only thing that sucked with them is that I had to wait almost 36 hours to have my bitcoins processed. In that time they dropped to lower numbers and it semi bothered me.
That sucks for sure, but where else can you still buy via paypal or paysafecard? Thou the fees for paysafecard are huge 20% I think.

So far I've only used Bitstamp, but I've had no issues with them yet.

Would have to say got with BTC-e. Even though they don't have many options for deposit, can't say that I have ever had a problem with them.

I have had good experiences with CampBX.  They do not get as much volume as mt. Gox but I have not had any issues getting USD or BTC in or out.  Plus they use Dwolla so that makes it real easy...

I just bought my first BitCoins and I used BitInstant so that I could pay cash. I guess I wasn't too sure if I wanted any of these services to have my bank info.

It entirely depends on where in the world you are buying them and how you can pay.

I used to use Pingit on Blockchain but Barclays pulled the service on them.

I was just hoping to get this communitys opinion on what sites are the best to purchase bitcoin from - please give the site and the reasoning behind why you like it and your experience with it if possible. Thank you!
