I have Samsung S8 and I have to admit that I'm using telephone constantly (including watching Youtube videos) and it will last whole day.

I have this belief that the end consumers didn't want bigger phones, larger screens to the size they are now.. but the manufactures of phones needed to put bigger batteries into phones to support 4g/5g networks; which you might notice your phone getting rather hot when using these networks.. I think its a conspiracy that the marketing divisions of these phone manufactures pitch bigger screens as a way to solve the flaws with power usage of these networks.

I currently have 3 phones: a samsung, a huawei, and an LG. The LG one is the fastest one to drain battery, around half a day and you're done. My huawei is the best in terms of battery life!! It can last 2 days without me needing to charge it, so I recommend it if it's what you're looking for in a smartphone.

I don't know the answer, but you have so much control in terms of limiting things that eat up a lot of memory. For example I see a lot of people have their bluetooth on, even though they don't have any bluetooth device. I see people with their data, wifi on, even though they don't use the internet. These are normally older people.

I am using Techno and it Is serving with long battery life. Most times it last for me like 3 days, but I didn't use it with internet, it's almost one week just for calls and text.
