The best speculator to follow is our very own Kwukduck. If he says Bitcoin will crash, that is your signal to buy and if he says it will climb fast, that is the time to dump.

I have never seen him make a correct prediction. Cheesy

Their are no perfect speculators , and who ever is speculating in that one time it gets correct but next time it goes wrong. So no one can tell 100% accurate. Everything is going on guessing.

I agree with him, there are no perfect speculation, because it is all are guesses, if what will be ahead of bitcoin and what's gonna happen next with the price of bitcoin, we can never know the exact thing that's gonna happen, and if you are looking for someone who has a great knowledge in what would happen to BTC ahead of time? that will be the big whales and SEGWIT in what is up with their plan store for us, but I think all are guesses but have a kind of Intel with the positive and negative news of what will happen with bitcoin

Best speculators wont post here, that is for sure Smiley
The best ones?  Probably not.  But I've seen some people brag on this forum about the multiple BTC they've made, and I believe there are at least some very profitable traders who come here.  And I'm also sure a lot of hot air is blown up our asses, too.  But the multimillionaire-type traders?  Nah, they're too busy spending their winnings to come here and shoot the shit.

Who are the best speculators around?  Are they on this board or elsewhere?

Whose post history tells the greatest tale of accurate prediction and keen insight?  Who was right when everyone else was wrong?

What if the best speculators are just whales of sufficient size to enact their own predictions?

Is the signal to noise ratio worth the time investment involved in parsing through many of the posts here?
If you know what others don't, why share that information ahead of time?  Are the reputational gains sufficiently explanatory?

I'm curious about the value ( both true and perceived ) of this board as a meaningful tool.  Or is it all just a cacophony of guesses, generated and read for entertainment?
Most people here are not into trading or are part time traders, while speculating about the price and what could happen in the future is without a doubt fun and something that needs to happen at the same time is not like many include a big analysis about why they think the way they do, most of the time the comments are beliefs or opinions with not much to sustain them.

The best speculators don't talk much, they just make profits.

However, sometimes you do get an insight when you read the bitcoinmarkets daily threads:

Node operators (miners, particularly). They get to vote on which version of code the primary blockchain runs on...if they decide to vote for UASF / SegWit2x / Etc. they fundamentally change how bitcoin operates. There's nothing more speculative than that!

As for where they are, most of the players in bitcoin lurk around on this forum...they may not post ever, anymore, or often but they're all here. Or at R/Bitcoin. Even Satoshi was on this forum for a short while in the beginning!

Why would they need to speculate? They can just time their trades and move the markets on their own.
They hardly need to give out predictions.

I don't think you can singled out any speculators that has somewhat "accurately" predict the market movements. And if they did, then its hard to find them because they will not share any information about it. I suggest you can study the market yourself and make the best prediction that you can make and make your moved.

Don't ever follow any one's predictions blindly. No one could accurately predict the crypto market as it is highly volatile.Even if some one is predicting, then there is more chance that they might be just trying to dump some coin or to pump a coin of their interest.Just do your own research and take decisions to invest.

check out tradingview for some nice analysis if you like. there are many of them but don't ever expect accurate speculation or in other words prediction of the price, that is impossible.
there are also some people around here with a more level head that don't speculate much but things they say are more logical than just wanting to hype things in one direction. for that you have to hang around and find it out yourself.

I don't think so, as there are some users that share their predictions here in the forum, not always in this speculation board (don't really know outside forum). But, I didn't mark their threads (my bad), just read a lot and roam to other threads. Some speculators share their prediction and provide some links to support their opinion, good enough to judge what will happen.

The best traders and speculators would never share their thoughts with the general public.  Why would they?  Their strategy and their plans could be used against them, making their profits in a certain play go down.  It's like a poker player showing what hand he has and what moves he plans to do with it.

If a known whale does tell the public what he's planning to do, then beware because there's a hidden motive behind it.  The best example I could find right now is Tim Draper's public announcement that he'll be joining the Tezos ICO.  Now why did he tell everyone about it?  Wink

When it continues speculations, one might be right at some time and the other might be making a perfect prediction some other time. So there is nothing as a good speculator, market prediction is based on several factors and so different user consider different factors while predicting the market.

To be honest I don't think anyone here is good enough at predicting bitcoin or crypto to outperform the market. The market is so inefficient that it's very difficult and risky to try to predict anything with a reasonable degree of accuracy. Some people may be able to do just slightly better than random chance, but not much more than that.
