Also in slack and telegram groups you might also get the information faster rather than later so all in all you need to do your research fairly fast and well.
You got two options when it comes to this as I see it and that is follow the exchanges closely on all social media or follow the coin closely on social media. One of the two will let you know about the addition or hint at it because saying it outright is not allowed.

Exchanges usually make an announcement whenever they will support a new cryptocurrency and add it to their service but I think not always so another way is to check the channels that developers of that coin usually use (like telegram, reddit, slack, twitter). They will surely announce on which exchanges their cryptocurrency will be listed or when.
