I think Bitcoin security exchanges should look after this. If you are invested in a Bitcoin company that is not traded on an exchange I can't see a solution other than emailing share holders directly for their votes.

What is the best way to do votes among owners of crypto securities.  For instance, using counterparty what would be the best way to do a vote among people who own shares, accounting for how many shares they own as well?

depends on which platform you are using

dogeparty is cheaper but they haven't implemented most of the xcp feature set yet.

Must remember that counterparty working over bitcoin blockchain. So much better than dogeparty i think.

A custom script that uses a weight and class system is the best way to determine the voting powers.

It should weigh in their ranks as an investor, staff or client/member. As well as their general activity :/
